Very clean room, friendly stuff, close to the Metro station (line 2, goes directly to Sacré Coeur). The breakfast could be a little bigger, some nutella, cheese or eggs would be good (for the moment it's baguette with always the same marmalade). The hotel is close to Rue Oberkampf with many pubs and cafés. Near the hotel is a parking possibility (25 €/day). From our window in the 3rd floor (no elevator) we didn't look on the street but on a big beautiful tree, really relaxing.

Hotel des Vosges is very basic but at this price you can't really ask for more. Room was clean and front desk staff was very nice. They even give you coffee and a baguette. We wanted to explore Belleville and this hotel was right in the center of the action.

This hotel has some very good points. It's clean. The rooms are fine. The bathroom in our room was excellent. Lots of room. A great shower. And it is close to the Metro. And it is budget-friendly.

But --- and its a big "but" --- there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow and steep and wind their way up like a corkscrew. Our room was on the third floor and climbing those stairs was a challenge without luggage was a physical challenge. Hauling a large suitcase up those stairs is a physical feat that you have to be strong to accomplish. I was travelling with my son, an ex college football player, and he struggled getting our bags up to the room and down the stairs when we checked out. And our bags were well below the Kg limis of the airlines.

Breakfast consist of a piece of baguette and coffee. A German family staying there was storing met and cheese in the refrigerator in the breakfast room.

The hotel is in one of the more "diverse" Paris neighborhoods.

Its a fine place as long as you understand a couple of the shortcomings associated with it.

Room tip: Lower floors are better because of the lack of a lift.

Last month we had an excellent trip to Paris. Really enjoyed our family vacation. We were kind of short in budget that's why we were looking for a nice place that can create value in a minimum price.

We stayed on Des Vosges for 3 nights and enjoyed the tour really well. The place is nice and simple but yet very elegant. I think a good hotel has to be located in a nice place that can easily be found and Des Vosges is exactly have the factor.

We booked room as a part of our tour package. The room wasn't that much big but it was nicely decorated. Everything looked new cause it was newly furnished, Bathroom was well equipped.

There are shopping places, restaurants near by so we didn't feel isolated. Most importantly our kids were really happy with the place.

The room service was exceptional it was quick and on time. But the major problem is there was no lift, which is I think is a major set back in this modern age.

The food quality is nice epically the breakfast.

All in all a nice family place

We stayed here for 4 nights about 2 weeks ago. The location is decent, pretty far from all the main attractions except Pere Lachaise, but this is not necessarily a problem, as the metro is really close and can take you anywhere you want.
There are restaurants and shops around, but all are handled by muslims and africans and I wouldn't be particularly interested in falafel when I am in Paris.
The hotel itself is really basic, pretty old building with a lot of stairs to climb, basic room, cleanish, but everything is old and needs refurbishment.
Our friends got a even worse room, smelly and very tiny, not at all what we expected.
The breakfast is a joke, some bread and butter, ar least the coffee is really good and they give you plenty.
The staff is friendly and helpful, they assisted with anything we needed, we could pay by card, so it was ok from this point of view.

All in all, I don't think I would stay here again, I would choose a more central hotel, give up the breakfast for a better room and probably go to an international group of hotels, to at least know what to expect.
