We travelled to Paris to spend time with family who live nearby. Usually for the price we paid at the Glasgow, other Parisian hotels would be rundown, dirty, and generally unpleasant. But the Glasgow was immaculately presented. Modern, clean and very friendly staff who speak good English.

We traveled with a one year old and the travel cot was in perfect condition and comfortable for our son.

The rooms are very small, but it is Paris: what do you expect? The location was perfect because it was close to our family, and in a very safe neighbourhood. Not right in the heart of the tourist area but public transport is very close and easy to manage.

We will be back!

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review about the Hotel Glasgow. We are delighted to hear that you had a nice stay with us in Paris as it is the best reward we can receive. We blushed reading all your nice words about the hotel and the staff and it made all our daily efforts to meet our guest's expectations even more worth it.

We had a great stay at Hotel Glasgow a few weeks ago in Paris! We stayed 4 nights and the first day we got there, the concierge helped map out our metro trips and booked our shuttle back to the airport for us. Such great service! The room was cleaned every day and the AC worked great! The only issue we had was that our key wouldn't work most times, but the desk staff was more than willing to help each time it happened. I would definitely recommend anyone coming to Paris to stay here!

Thank you for your nice review about your recent stay at the Glasgow hotel. We are extremely pleased to see that you enjoyed the design and the service, as we thrive on providing the best experience for our guests. The AC is indeed in real plus in summer months, even though it feels like October in Paris today!
We are indeed blessed to be in a quiet street and offer a restful setting for our guests. Don't hesitate to ask the reception for restaurant suggestions and please stop at the wonderful Levis famer's market next time you come to Paris.
We are looking forward to welcoming you again very soon!

Sincerely

We stayed here for a 40th birthday weekend for 4 nights. Hotel was easy to find, 10 minute walk from metro station and there was also a bus that took you directly to the Arc de Triomphe. On arrival we were greeted by staff who spoke excellent English and gave us a map straight away which had the hotel marked clearly on it so we could find our way easily. Rooms were brightly decorated, very clean and a well stocked bathroom. Free wifi was also included which is a pleasant added bonus. There was also a safe, might not be bolted to the ground but it served its purpose. Rooms were a little small but this was not a secret! We were in Paris so we did not intend spending a lot of our time in the room, who cares what size the room is when you are asleep in a comfy clean bed!! We had booked with expedia so breakfast was not included but this was an extra €11 per day and it looked well worth it. Café across the street is another alternative which provided English tea. Also their streak frites are worth checking out!! Staff in the hotel could not have been more accommodating and provided us with everything we needed. There is no hotel bar but the staff directed us to a late night supermarket around the corner were we could buy everything we needed at a very low price and we enjoyed a couple of bottles of wine in the hotel patio area. For those people who complained about there only being a lift in one part of the hotel... this was good training for all the steps you would have to climb to see the many sites of the city!! If you are really against walking up stairs, just ask upon reservation for a room on the side that has a lift. Tea, coffee and water available in reception 24 hours a day which was a welcome relief at times. We believe that we got more than we paid for with Hotel Glasgow and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again for a great stay, you really did make us feel very welcome in your city. Please give this place a chance, a very creditable 3 star hotel in a lovely residential area where you can experience proper Paris lifestyle before you hit the madness of the city centre

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 3rd to 5th floor with a patio view

We got a great deal at the Glasgow Monceau for a long weekend over the Tour de France. The location was conveniently located within walking distance of most things (Approx 20 mins walk to the Arc de Triumph) but far enough away that you can distance yourselves from the commercial tourism. The staff couldn't of been more helpful - infact I would say that they were the best part about our stay at the hotel. The hotel itself is small and the facilities are basic, but there are good restaurants & cafes nearby, the beds were comfortable and the rates were very reasonable ... overall we would definitely recommend the Glasgow Monceau and it's staff for a short stay in Paris.

Room Tip: Take ear plugs just incase, as with all small hotels, you can sometimes hear your neighbours!

Dear Sarah Jane,

Thank you for your nice review about your stay at the Glasgow Hotel. We are extremely pleased to see that you had a nice stay with us in Paris, as it is the best reward we can have.
The 17th area in Paris is indeed trendy and well located but with fewer tourists than in other central areas as you noticed and it is perfect to offer the most authentic Parisian experience to our guests.

It was a delight to have you stay with us, and your kind words about the staff and service meant the world to us.
We are looking forward to seeing you soon on your next Parisian getaway.

Sincerely,

Good hotel for value. Room was clean, and the staff was helpful. The light in the toliet was broken in the room we were given, and we were switched rooms immediately, with an apology and no hesitation. Staff were very helpful and showed us the way to the main attractions in France. It was quite a walk into the city centre, but nothing overwhelming. It was also close to Parc Monceau, which we loved. Good value for money, but if you want something central to Paris' city centre this is not the place for you!
