“Worst accommodation!”
Reviewed 23 April 2013

I would never ever recommend this place to stay in Paris. Trust me. The toilet is just horrible. The staff are rude and doesnt speak english AT ALL and the buiding is just so unsafe and freaking scary.

The Company is not a Hotel. It is a building with several "rooms" that have a stove in the room. There recepão typical hotel. The owner of the building has a restaurant on the first floor of the building, where the guest receives the key to the apartment. Access is through an exit port that a stairwell, in the absence or intercom features of a hotel. It is typically a residential building where apartments rent for bedroom and bathroom.

This "hotel" is actually just a few rooms above a restaurant. The"front desk" is just the place where you pay for your food in the restaurant and when the restaurant is closed so is the front desk, meaning you cannot get any help or assistance before 11 a.m. or after midnight. Loud all night long, uncomfortable beds. Most importantly, the staff speaks NO English, not a word, (or spanish, or german, all languages we attempted). Because of this, we had a lot of trouble getting placed in our room--we had paid for a triple but were placed in a single and could not get them to understand that we were not trying to sneak in extra people to a one-person room, we had just been placed in the wrong room altogether. We had a kitchenette in our room but we came home to find a mouse/rat in our grocery bags. The hotel owner refused to refund us for this and accused us of lying about the rodents to get out of paying. Unless you have no other option, spring for a real hotel--not a dirty room above a restaurant.

Room Tip: All rooms have thin walls, so its loud all night, and no windows.

If you don't mind rodents, then yeah, sure, this is an otherwise decently clean place in a convenient location. If you do mind rodents, however, as I do, then you should not stay here. On our last morning, very early, we heard rustling in our cookie bag. When we poked the bag to check it out, a rather large mouse scuttled out and away under one of the beds. After a bit of screaming from my friends, it ran to the closet, then to between the crack between the refrigerator and the cupboard. We told the woman at reception about it, but she said she couldn't do anything and that the hotel patron would be there at 11. So we left our baggage, enjoyed some more of Paris, and told the patron when we got back around 2. We explained the situation and said that we otherwise enjoyed the hotel, and asked for a refund of one night. The patron rudely refused, and didn't believe us because "he didn't see it" when he went up there. Oh by the way---there is NOT a multi-lingual staff. It is French or nothing, so be warned. He also said basically to get over it, that rats are part of Paris. I have two friends from Paris who both said that rodents are NOT to be tolerated in hotels in Paris, just as they wouldn't be anywhere else, and that he certainly should have given us our money back. He also claimed that even if he had wanted to, it would be impossible to give a refund...which is obviously a lie. The place is also a restaurant. They accept credit cards, which is what I paid with. There is a such thing as cash, and I'm sure they had it. Their system was not exactly well organized anyhow. My "reservation" was just my name penciled in a book, and though I made the reservation online for a three person room, they originally tried to put us in a room with one double bed, on the smaller side. Oh by the way, we pulled back the sheets in that room to at least check the hotels cleanliness, and there were plenty of hairs. The only reason we didn't leave then is because the new triple room they put us in appeared to be clean. Guess it wasn't.........

Room Tip: Don't expect a refund if anything goes wrong.

The hotel is good value for money for someone seeking the basic for the overnight stay. Location is perfect as a base for sight seeing. Rooms are small and not very comfortable besides the bed.
