I was traveling with my sister, and we were looking for a place that would accommodate both of us and still give us a little privacy since we were spending 5 days in Paris. This was my first airBnB booking, and my experience was just top notch. This 2 bedroom apartment and set up were perfect for us. The separate toilet from the shower (no tub)/sink made it very easy for two of us to get ready for a full day on the town. We were two short blocks from the Metro. The bus and tram were next to the condo complex. There were many amenities close by: pharmacy, pastry/bread shops, Cafe d'Orleans (a great local eatery).
Emmanuel and Beatrice were very helpful, even suggesting a first day itinerary given we were tired from the overnight trip. They suggested transportation strategies and places to see though I did have a very detailed itinerary I had created for our trip. They speak fluent English, so communication was easy. Emmanuel confirmed our 3 day tour with Paris City Vision so that I wouldn't have to manage the phone system myself.
Please note that the rooms are comfortable but not super-sized like what we experience in the United States. One room has a full or queen sized bed. The other is twin but with a trundle, I believe. So, adjust expectations. My sister and I were tickled by the small elevator...holds 2 folks with suitcases or 3 adults. I have trouble sleeping, and the apartment was quiet, more so on the interior side of the building. If I go back, I'd contact Emmanuel directly and stay at his apartment.
My family of four recently enjoyed a wonderful week-long stay in Paris. Our warm and welcoming hosts, Emmanuel and his wife Beatrice, were always available to assist us. (They both speak English, which was a big plus for us.) They offered helpful advice about sightseeing and public transportation and they booked a taxi for us when we departed.
The location and accommodations were perfect for our needs -- away from tourist crowds, yet conveniently located near subway, bus and tram lines that provided easy access to anywhere we wished to go. Taxi fare from CDG was a flat rate of 55 Euros. (Hosts sent us detailed instructions on how to arrive via other modes of transportation also.) The neighborhood has a variety of eateries and bakeries, pharmacy, and a supermarket. There is even a Leonida's chocolate shop! :)
Our accommodations (2 bedrooms plus shower room and a separate toilet room) was its own unit with its own entrance, completely separated from the owners' apartment down the hallway. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. One bedroom had a pull-out trundle bed which was perfect for our kids (boy and girl). This room also had a convenient fold-out table, plates, bowls, cups, eating utensils, coffee maker, and teapot (along with coffee and tea-making supplies) which were perfect for those times we brought back food to enjoy. The 7th floor location (don't worry, there is a lift) afforded a nice breeze on warm afternoons and a nice view -- from one bedroom you can see the Eiffel Tower (which was especially lovely when it lit up at night on the hour).
Our stay at Emmanuel and Beatrice's place exceeded all our expectations. Their warmth and hospitality were hallmarks that made our stay truly memorable and enjoyable. A fabulous experience. We look forward to returning some day!
The apartment is very clean, comfortable and quiet. It is also very closed to the Metro and nearby restaurants.Emmanuel, who is one of the owner was prompt in meeting us and together with his wife they are both very welcoming.Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Looking for a cosy stay in the city only 15 minutes from the heart of the centre. Do not look any further. Rooms are nice, beds are good, bathroom is super!
Owner lives next door and is very helpfull. Recommended for as well one or two couples as for a family with max 3 kids.
EMmanuel Was a lovely host who spoke English exceptionally well and did not mind us practicing our broken French on him. He kept out of the way, and when we did see him he offered advice gently and lent us a book on the sights of Paris. The apartment was better than we were expecting, and the beds were exceptionally comfy with lovely clean sheets. We found the Metro easy to get to the centre and felt very happy coming back to the apartment every evening to rest after many hours sightseeing. We liked the block he lived in as it was Art Deco, the only point was the lift was quite small, but we always use stairs anyway and the 7 flights were ok for us. My daughters of 17 and 24 also liked the pull out bed and shower room. Superb holiday, thank you Emmanuel.
