“Wonderful french dining experience”
Reviewed 30 April 2014 via mobile

We arrived at 9:30 on a Tuesday and it was very crowded. The host moved some other diners and tables and mnaged to squeeze us in. Despite how crowded it was cert romantic. Great meal. We had the veal normandy and beef bourgenoin. For dessert the bowl of fresh sweet strawberries with a little creme fraiche. Lovely meal in a real Paris restaurant. No english to be heard. Services was excellent.

“Fantastic food and excellent service (if a little eccentric!)”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

We were looking for somewhere traditional to eat in the Latin Quarter that wasn't too pricey and would offer good wine and frogs legs. Found a tiny review in a magazine in the hotel that described just that and it turned out to be our best meal in Paris. Definitely was more expensive than we anticipated, but we just didn't care when we considered how good the food was.

Service was also fantastic and really friendly. The waiter even brought himself a little glass over and poured himself a splash of wine so he could toast with us (bit cheeky and I might have been annoyed had he not been so welcoming and likeable!)

When my boyfriend ordered an Armagnac to go with dessert the waiter said a calvados would go better so brought over a small glass for free as well as what was requested.

Generally a really enjoyable evening with great food (highly recommend the frogs legs and scallops) and wine.

“Amazing food, great ambiance ”
Reviewed 28 March 2014 via mobile

This place was absolutely outstanding, I was looking for somewhere to try frogs legs and have other traditional French bistro cuisine and this place definitely hit the nail on the head. The food was wonderful and the staff were extremely good fun. It's close to the banks of the Seine so you can go for a walk before it after dinner. All in all a great place to eat.

“very disappointing”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

We are French and have been going to this restaurant for years.

We reserved from New York 10 days before the dinner. The day of, we called to say that we would be 10 minutes late, and a woman responded "it's your problem, you will have to be finished by 9:15pm". Not a particularly kind response.

Upon arrival, we were happy to see same group of waiters. The food, however, was very disappointing. Both the leeks starter and the coq au vin entrée were tasteless. Coq au vin normally has a wonderful wine sauce, whereas this seemed to be sitting in water.

Since this restaurant is in many American guidebooks we were wondering whether they have taken things for granted, and stopped making an effort to serve real French bistro food.
