I “discovered” this place 16 years ago, and since then every time I’m in Paris I go back.
Nice place, great food, friendly staff.

While we are in Paris, we generally seek out French Restaurants. What restaurant is more classic French than Bistrot Vivienne? This restaurant is on the edge of Passage Vivienne, the most beautiful Passsge in Paris. First of all - everyone in the restaurant was French! (Except Us.). The service was very friendly and efficient. There are two dining rooms downstairs and an outdoor patio. Upstairs, there is a full dining room as well. We saw a couple of “regulars” dining upstairs, away from the crowds. The Deviled Eggs with Crab, Foie Gras and Confit de Canard were all delicious! We will definitely be back!

This can be a busy restaurant given its location, food is excellent with an imaginative menu but not particularly cheap. Not your average bistro by any means. Service can be slow and not always enthusiastic. Not a place for a quiet dinner.

We stopped here by chance for lunch on a drizzly day, and were delightfully surprised by the lovely atmosphere and delicious food. I could have stayed much longer and definitely would have loved to enjoy dessert but we had an appointment to get to so had to be satisfied with just our main course. We'll be back to the gem next time we are in Paris.

This is a lovely little place not far from the Louvre. Great wine selection and a solid set of small plate and full meal options. Awesome value for the amount of food you receive. It has a very boho-chic atmosphere. Our waitress (short brown haired young lady with maybe a slightly New Zealand-esque accent? If you're reading this, you rock!) was super friendly, bilingual, and attentive. She noticed clouds coming in overhead and closed off the patio roof before a downpour hit us. We shared a good laugh over the heavy rain and she kept the mood fun under the cosy little awning, giving guests the option to dine inside. Great for casual/ semi-formal. There was a mix of people there; the lady beside us had a 3 course meal solo, and there were groups of 2-5 throughout the restaurant. We actually came in looking for an easy-going place to read our books after a long day and ended up staying 3 hours. The chef made an awesome plate of carpaccio octopus salad, and a really fun flavour combination for their plate of rabbit (with prune and roasted tomatoes). This is on my must-return-to list for my next visit to Paris.
