The food was really good, but the waiter made the evening. Frank was helpful, smiling, friendly, quick and attentive. We both struggled with the language a bit, but that lead to a few good laughs. If your near the 6th, you have to stop in. Tell them Jim & Angie sent you.

This brasserie offers great food. I took some business friends and they enjoyed it. Not Michelin star - style, but traditional French cuisine and a - to be recommended - fantastic crème brulée. If you're out for a non-complicated dinner in a place where you can have fun at the same time, in a nice neighbourhood on top, this is a nice place. Close to the Rue des Canettes area and Saint Sulpice. Go for a delicious onion soup, escargot, duck magret and steaks as they are apparently the specialties of the house.

Checked out many restaurants on a busy Saturday night. Long wait times, without a reservation.Luckily found this place, waited 5 minutes to be seated. Wifey has goat cheese wrapped in bacon with endive. I has the escargot. Both were amazing. We had duck breast and peppercorn steak for entrees. Again, amazing! Great bottle of wine. Creame brulee for dessert. We have tried lots at home. This is by far the best ever. Such a great find!

If you want some nice food in an area away from all the tourist spots, then go to this restaurant. It is located in the middle of the St Germain area, know for it's bars and restaurants.
The resatuarant has a typical French menu with items like Foie Gras, Magret de Canard and Moelleux au Chocolat.
There is a very friendly service and they are happy to help you if you have special dietary wishes.
Prices are very reasonably for Parisien standards and the resatuarant has a cosy interior as well.

We asked for the Day's Special and the young waiter hang the board beside us and left. Since it was written in French, we waited until he came around again and asked him to explain it to us. He said, "I do not speak English"...though he just did, and walked away again. I wanted to eat elsewhere due to his bad attitude and rude behavior, but my husband told him to call someone else who spoke English and the manager came to explain the menu to us. We should not have had to ask him to call for someone else who could speak English, if he knew of good service, he would have immediately done so on his own initiative. We stayed and had our meal, and guess what...as he served our food, he spoke to us and we spoke to him, in English! We've dined here more than a couple of times before because we like the food, and this time, we wanted our children to see why this was one of our favorite restaurants in Paris. What a shame....the bad service ruined our meal!
