Not an ostentatious restaurant, just a nice, simple bistro with good food and drinks. We stopped in mid afternoon after a morning at the Musee d'Orsay (by the way, did you know you can re-enter the MO with your ticket?) to have a lunch. I enjoyed the salad and the beef Bourgogne from the prix fixe menu. Included a small glass of wine and a large bottle of tap water. Just what we needed!
Small, cozy, narrow, with Parisian photos at one end and cute characature drawings in front (don't know who of or why), and we found the limited staff very friendly.

“Cool restaurant with average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2013

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend from the US who visits it frequently. We thought it was just ok. There was a good selection of meats on the main course menu but not much in the way of fish. My husband had the melted goat cheese over the eggplant appetizer with roasted peppers which was the best of the dishes we had. I had the lentils with bacon --average. For main course, he had the veal Milanese which he normally loves in Italian/American restaurants. He thought it was just ok. I had the special beef 'entrecote' because the waitress couldn't guarantee that the there were no bones in the sea bass! It was cooked properly but there was a lot of fat. Side orders of fries were good --the usual in Paris --but the string beans were really overcooked and tasted like they came from a can. Wines were average. Overall --very average, though it seems very popular. Young people are hanging out smoking outside every time we passed. There are so many other good restaurants... this one seemed like it would be good for young friends who want to order an appetizer and fries and really just meet to talk and not necessarily for a good meal.

“Great Ambiance, Terrific Meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2013

More restaurants ought to use this one as an example.
They know their business, they work hard, their food is delicious, they accommodate the customers and do their best to make the experience a pleasurable one.
What more is there to ask for?

“A good local”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 February 2013 via mobile

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night and it was busy and lively. The tables are very closely spaced and it could be awkward if you were large.

The waiting staff were helpful and not bothered by our lack of French and even offered an English menu.

The food was fresh, well-prepared and satisfying, the house wine was good value and this was a moderately priced evening.
I wouldn't travel far to visit this restaurant but it is well worth a walk to get there.

Fast and kind service. Had the sea bass and pommes frites (fries) and a salad. Everything was delicious... But the prices were on the steep side. Not too muh variety on menu, but would eat here again. Everything tasted fresh.
