Me and my wife spend 3 days in Paris and in one of the mornings we had the breakfast at Cafe de l'Esplanade. We had a good food (I had tea and omelette and my wife had pancakes with coffee) but not something that we have not seen before. Service was not too bad but also not too good - they forgot something that i have asked and also at a table close to us they have forgot to bring some additional orders. But what makes it interesting is the atmosphere inside - a stylish and elegant.place, so also a bit more expensive.

Decided to have a Friday lunch meal here when I was visiting the Musee Rodin which is just near bye. It was a cold afternoon and the restaurant was warm and inviting. Decoration is modern stylish ant targeted at the bling bling set. It is clearly a place to be seen and to watch others. Plenty of names and nouveau riche with the cars and accessories to match. Also many business people and bureaucrats having lunch.

The food and wine was very good as could be expected from an establishment of this level in Paris. Service was not bad which was a relief from the usual haughty arrogance of many Parisian places. Overall it was a please meal. The only irritation of the place was that the table were very closely packed together and we were seated in a place that was constantly busy with guests coming and going. In addition each time the front door was opened ( which was allot ) there was a strong cold breeze (despite the best efforts of the doorman )which made us uncomfortable.

Try it if you like people watching or being seen and like to pay for the privilege. otherwise try another place.

Had one of me most delicious fish dishes I have ever had, with citrus-based Asian sauce, was truly amazing...
Good mix between more traditional french dishes and modern fusion dishes.
Very nice atmosphere, which you will expect nothing less of from another branch of the Costes empire. While other Costes places might start to feel a bit same-y, this one is quite unique.
If you are lucky enough to be there over the summer or sit close to the window, there is a very nice view of the Esplanade.
Perhaps a bit expensive

This is a wonderful restaurant near les invalides. The dining room is very stylish and elegant. The hostess quickly took our coats and brought us to our seats. The menu was varied with thai inspired sauces and some traditional fare. The tomatoes and burrata were creamy and fresh. The Thai Sea bass was outstanding. The filet with dipping sauce was delicious. The cheese cake was remarkable. The wine list was filled with many good choices. The service was professional and helpful. Timing between courses was very good, no complaints. The prices were a bit high (approx 110 euro per person including a bottle of wine). Highly recommend.

A bit pricey but not more than you would expect in this milieu. Very good food. Best, thinnest pomme allumettes, perfectly wilted spinach, splendid fish and meat dishes, extensive wine list, fabulous people watching!
