“Not much to talk about”
Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

This is a great location with standard French food. Service was barely passable. Good quality was average. When left with few choices, this would be as good as most, but not better than many.

Too bad as the location makes this a place with great potential for a great restaurant.

“Lovely place for lunch”
Reviewed 24 December 2013

We stopped here for a late lunch and had an excellent time. The atmosphere was perfect and the restaurant is clean, light and airy. It felt very Parisian and not at all touristyOur waiter was very attentative even though he was busy serving large groups. As for the food it was just right - I had the duck and it was cooked well. The price was what you would expect for an up-market area and it came to around 20 euros a head without wine. I will definitely be going back again if I am ever in the area.

“Tres jolie, very nice, lovely”
Reviewed 15 December 2013

Very friendly staff. We stoped there for a coffee, tea, and chocolate break and all of them were very good. All the desserts are to die for, specially la tatin aux pommes (apple tarte). My chocolate was divine! Prices normal within the Parisien range. This Brasserie is in a charming square between Les Invalides and the Louvre south of the river, close to the Musée Rodin and the D´Orsay and the Basilique St. Catherine. A very beautiful corner of Paris

“Excellent for the price!”
Reviewed 25 October 2013

We went to this restaurant for lunch and found that there were a whole chalk board of specials for $15. This is a BYOB restaurant. If you can buy your wine in the US as the cost will be a lot less.

I had the steel head trout and the portion was dinner size for only $15!!!! While not exactly the best meal I have ever had you could not find this meal in the US with this level of sauce for less than $35.

Note that the chalk board of specials is written in French and the wait staff did not do well in English. When I wanted to leave a 20% tip the waiter had a hard time showing me how to leave more than the standard 15%.

The atmosphere was very nice except for the noise level. The soup was very very well flavored without a lot of salt. You could taste the fresh vegetables in the soup. Don't miss the pineapple carpaccio as it was excellent.

“Just Right”
Reviewed 25 September 2013 via mobile

After Musée Rodin we were walking towards D'Orsay and stumbled upon the Basilisque St Catherine- very beautiful- planning on grabbing a table along the way. This place looked very local (patrons all french) and the menu was nice.
We each had a plat du jour, both fish, and it was lovely. Nice house bordeaux, good bread. We shaired a dessert- crepes with salted butter caramel. They were nice, but I will take issue that it was toffe, not caramel (i make both). Good all the same. Polite service. No rush. Extra bread brought without asking, water too.
Would stop there again without question.
