We anticipated eating here for one evening but at the end of the day, this is a Parisian Brasserie - what it does, it does well, but was not somewhere where we wanted to spend a special evening. It clearly aims for a quick turnover of tables and we were sat with no space either side of us next to others. The only way to sit down for all of us was to lift the tables out of the way.
We weren't given English menus when we asked so assumed they were not available. My "schoolboy French" sufficed and we ordered the Sea Bass and lamb. The food turned up in minutes and was Ok - nothing more or less.
The atmosphere is a real buzz and if you're looking for a quick bite and maybe a few drinks (there is a happy hour from 5pm-7pm) then Le Suffren delivers - if you want a romantic meal for 2 then look elsewhere - this is PARIS and the choice is bewildering!!
