Delicious handmade chocolate - produced in the rez-de-chaussée - in lovely flavours and forms, these are the treasures you find in M. Chaudun's boutique. It's worth the detour. The hardest part is to choose. M. Chaudun let me try several chocolates to make it easier.

According to the internet, Michel Chaudun is one of the top 10 chocolatier in the world. I am not a conniereus, but the peeves were truly delicious. The shop was small and unpretentious.

We visited this gorgeous shop twice - once on our own and once as part of a gourmet tour. On each occasion the staff were friendly and hospitable and we were even lucky enough to meet Monsieur Chaudun. We sampled quite a few of his delectable chocolates and it is easy to see why he has a reputation for being one of the world's best chocolatiers. In addition to his famous melt in the mouth pavés and the classic filled dark chocolates, the shop is full of sculpted chocolates - animals, purses, soccer balls, watches and of course Eiffel Towers. There is something for everyone, all beautifully wrapped or boxed and very reasonably priced. The shop is about a 10 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower through the elegant 7th arr. and not far from rue Cler foodie street. This little shop will be high on our list of places to visit next time we are in Paris.

Wonderful chocolate shop where everything is made of chocolate. There are very creative items and apparently he will never make anything twice. We heard about the pave "bricks" and decided to stop in for a taste. They were invented after the student uprising in paris where street bricks were pulled up and thrown at police. There is a picture in the window of the shop from the riots which was interesting to look at. We bought many "brick" boxes as gifts as they were so good. They stamp the date on the box and let you know you should eat them within 10 days for best enjoyment. Overall great stop!

This place was only a couple blocks away from the Eiffel Tower. They have the greatest chocolate treat ever, the pave. It is little ganache squares dusted with cocoa powder. The chocolate was rich and melted so smoothly on the tongue! My wife and I loved them!
