Chose this hotel entirely because of Trip Advisor, and you can say we had high expectations. So what is it about this hotel that make every visitor so satisfied?
- The service! As we were travelling with our baby we had a lot of question before we arrived. The hotel staff answered fast, kind and thoroughly. When we arrived the hotel, they were nice and helpful, and along our stay they helped us pick restaurants and transportation. Very very good!
- The location. We felt like we lived in the heart of Paris. Again; as we traveled with a baby and had to bring a troller, we chose to walk our way through Paris. We had a wonderful day when we walk to the Eiffel Tower, by the river to the Grand Palais, Concorde, Louvre and several districts. With shopping and the Luxembourg Garden right by, and a LOT of sidewalk restaurants, we got to experience Paris as we dreamt of.

The room (we had a superior room) was regular. With a baby crib, troller and suitcases it was quite fully, but we relaxed in the Luxembourg Garden and the Hotel lobby and used the hotelroom only to sleep, and then it was ok. In our room we didn't experience any noise - and that's quite good with this location in this big city.
We didn't try the breakfast or spa, so can't way anything about this.
We missed a english-speaking movieselection and/or tvchannels (beside newschannels), and the internetconnection was good to read news and skype - but to slow to stream. This is what makes us give the hotel only 4, not 5, stars.

Dear Mamona84,

We are glad to welcome families with babies and children at Le Six Hotel. We appreciate your time and review.

Please note that we have a DVD player available upon request as well as original version movies on French TV. You could have mentioned it to front desk.

Besides that, we hope to welcome you back again in Paris.

Kindest regards,

My wife and I stayed here for four nights in June. The rooms are spacious for Europe, well appointed, and clean. But, perhaps the best part of this hotel is it's front desk staff. No matter who was working at a given time, the level of service, friendliness, and knowledge was remarkable. We would happily stay here again!

We stayed three nights at Le Six last week. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful starting out with Nacim who was waiting up for us when arrived at 12:30 AM. He and his coworker were eager to welcome us and go through everything there is to do in the neighborhood as well as throughout Paris.

A week before we stayed at Le Meridian since we were going to the French Open and it was relatively close to Rolland Garros. Le Meridian is a large, busy but efficient business hotel. By contrast Le Six is small, attentive and personable.

The building is small but nicely and relatively recently restored. They were celebrating their sixth anniversary while we were there. We stayed in Room 405 which is a standard room. We were using British Airways points and don't have any status with Le Six so we were on board with the standard. The room is small but well laid out and in good condition. The window opens to an interior light shaft so there was no view but we were not in Paris to sit in our room.

The bathroom was a decent size with a good sized shower that actually had a full glass door that actually kept the bathroom dry. European showers have a tendancy to have half doors or otherwise don't do much to keep the shower from soaking the entire bathroom.

Breakfast was great with a terrific selection of cheeses, fresh fruit juices, cereal, eggs and the like.

The hotel is a block and a half from a Velib station (Paris' bike share program; the best deal and most fun for getting around the city), two blocks from the Vavin Metro station, a ten minute walk from the Port Royal RER B station (train to CDG or Orly) and a short walk to Gare Montparnasse. It's also a nice walk to Rue St Germain, Notre Dame, Marche St Germain (which contains a small bakery with the best pain au chocolat) and the rest of the Latin Quarter.

They provided us with a service questionnaire when we checked out. The only improvements that we could come up with were another stool in the room to put another suitcase and to add sparkling water along side of the still water at breakfast.

Le Six is a small, boutique hotel and it is excellent at that. If you're looking for a bigger, Westin/Hyatt/St Regis style hotel this is not one of those.

Overall Le Six is fantastic and we'll return.

Room Tip: The Standard room 405 that we had faced an interior light shaft and thus had no view. If you want a...

We stayed here for a week after reading the TripAdvisor reviews, and we're delighted. The single aspect that stands out for me is the staff. Over the course of the week we met them all, and without exception they were efficient, helpful, and so very friendly. They truly made our stay a pleasure.

We had a deluxe king room with a tiny balcony on the street. Normally I avoid the street side, but Rue Stanislaus is very tranquil. The shower was the largest I have ever seen in Europe, with great water pressure. The room was spotless, and serviced at least twice a day.

I will definitely stay here again when I book a hotel in Paris!

We chose this hotel based on the Tripadvisor rating and we were not disappointed. This is a boutique (for that, read small and VERY friendly) hotel near Montparnasse, surrounded by many restaurants, large and small as well as wonderful churches and the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens. We stayed in three separate rooms over three weeks (while visiting other places) and this gave us the full range of accommodation. The first room (number 504) was small, as so many in Paris, but its main fault was the total lack of storage...no shelves or drawers so where to put clothes? We mentioned this to the marvellous Angela , the manager, on check out and when we returned, the room that we were given (admittedly we requested and had booked for a higher grade as we were staying longer) was very well served by storage as well as a large and very comfortable bathroom.

Our last room, taken for just one night before our return home, was smaller but still had plenty of storage. The message is that you should ensure that any room you get has adequate storage. This sounds like a complaint but it was the only glitch in what was a fantastic experience. The hotel is very modern but what sets it aside, apart from the great location, is the incredible staff. They make it their whole purpose to ensure you are comfortable, welcomed and not wanting for anything. You are greeted every time you enter or leave the hotel by the reception staff and nothing is too much trouble.

This is not a cheap hotel, not surprising in central Paris, but it is worth every Euro cent that you spend. The breakfasts are fresh and plentiful and there is a plethora of wonderful restaurants in the near vicinity, two of the best within 50 metres of the hotel (Chez Marcel and La Caspienne). There are two Metro stations and a major terminal within a couple of blocks and some marvellous markets also in easy walking distance.

This place certainly warrants its good reviews. Next time we go to Paris, it will be top of our list!

Room Tip: Ensure room has adequate storage for clothes.

Le Six is a fabulous hotel with a great location. The hotel staff are more than conscientious, they really go out of their was to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. They made dinner reservations, showed us how to get around, jumped up every time we walked by, we nice beyond belief and really went above and beyond the call of duty at all times. The hotel is beautiful. Immaculate. The bar fun and the bartender knowledgeable. The room was well appointed, but the space is small. The bathroom is terrific, with all the amenities you would expect in a highly rated hotel. The room itself housed little more than the bed with very little space surrounding it. We spent 5 nights at Le Six so a little more space would have been nice. But, it is a great location and we felt very safe and cared for during our stay.

My wife and I stayed at Le Six for 7 nights in late May for our honeymoon, and I must say, this is an excellent hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely friendly and offering great service was obviously their priority.

The room itself was a bit small by North American standards, but that was expected. Other than the size, it was very comfortable, we even had a little balcony to go out on. The only downside to our experience was that the internet was quite slow. It is fast enough for emails and basic surfing, but not much else.

Overall, we had a great time there, the location was great, with Montparnasse-Bienvenue metro station close by, getting around town was simple and the front desk staff were all very helpful (and bilingual!). I would recommend it to anyone.
