“Relaxing Break”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

We had a fabulously relaxing time at the Paris-Oasis. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful, providing all kinds of information and practical advice. Although we have stayed in Paris several times in different hotels this was a really nice change. We felt completely at home, loads of coffee and tea provided and a boulangerie just a couple of metres away, and even a welcome surprise of champagne and wine in the fridge!
I used the small pool a few times for swimming, very well maintained and the water quality very good. The perfect way for me to unwind after a long days walking around. The constant jet is quite good for swimming although if you are proficient it's not as strong as it could be, though perfectly adequate. This guest house is well located and easy to get to, the directions and information provided at the time of booking is absolutely excellent. We would stay again.

An ideal place to stay for four senior gentleman visiting Paris to see the sights and watch European Cup Rugby. We occupied the clean and comfortable Lucie Loft apartment which had four single beds, a kitchen/bar area and en-suite bathroom and toilet. There is an excellent boulangerie and a supermarket close by and the Metro is but a short walk away. Our hosts were charming and very helpful and we would certainly consider returning in the future.

We spent 5 nights in the Lucie Loft. Fabulous location to reach all of the Paris highlights. We loved the secret garden and pool. We could not have asked for more gracious and helpful hosts. This is truly a labor of love for them.

I must agree with all the other reviewers of Paris-Oasis. Our family of 5 (children aged 5-9) stayed in Lucie Loft for 3 nights during October half-term. Our room was perfect. The kitchenette was ideal to use for breakfast and a couple of lunches to avoid eating out all the time. Hélène and her husband were charming and so so helpful. The half bottle of champagne they handed us as we returned from a long day at the Louvre was so welcome. And they had no one arriving to the loft the day we left and so were kind enough to let us use it until we went home. The children loved the little swimming pool. And it was great to be able to walk from and to the Gare du Nord, and be so close to Abbesses, which is a lively, attractive area. Whole experience was brilliant and we were very sad to leave....

My family of four stayed at Paris-Oasis in early August in the Lucie Loft. We arrived exhausted from a long flight and arrived around noon. Our room would not be ready until 2pm (as stated prior to arrival via email), but we were warmly greeted by the owners who treated us like long lost friends. We were given maps and lent a booklet of Paris info. We were treated to fresh peaches, baguette and croissants with jam. A bottle of water and a bottle of wine rounded out the welcome meal. I was dreading carrying up all our suitcases (four large plus 2 carry-ons), but at 1pm, when Jean-Louis told us our room was ready (early! yay!), he had already brought everything up!
We were delighted to see that the room was even better then advertised. Spotless, with free canned drinks already stocked in the fridge. Helene showed us how to work the coffee machine and made sure we knew how the electric blinds worked as well as many other details.

I small note. If you are susceptible to heat, and it's very hot outside, you can open (and leave open) several windows to help cool the room. There were also two powerful fans to move the air. We were comfortable, but the room is not air-conditioned.

Also, there is a small pool that apparently has a jet so you can swim in place, but we never found the time to try it, so I can't comment. I did test the water and it seemed to be a nice warm temperature.

Would we stay there again?

I don't know if we'd stay anywhere else!!!

Room Tip: Spacious room. Easily sleeps four.

Our Parisian stop was the tale end of a 2 week tour, our family car heavily loaded with bikes, roof box & luggage (as well as the odd bottle of wine to take home). I had asked Helen if it were possible to help find space for everything to be stored inc the large vw van, no mean task; but she assured me all would be sorted. Why did I ever worry, true to word she had helped & sorted every problem feared. We stopped in Lucie loft, 2 adults & 3 teenage boys... 1 room masterfully designed so you each feel as you have your own private space, equipped to make your stay easy as possible.
4 miles from the Eiffel Tower, minutes from the Scare Coeur this is literally a Paris Oasis, easy to walk to both, or taxi (20 Euro's each way to the tower). What a wonderful place! (& a wonderful family). Having stayed in many places world wide, this is probably the most accommodating in every way thank you for a truly unforgettable few days.

Stayed two nights last September 2012. I used Paris Oasis as a base for extensive walking of the city. Helen and Jean-Louis' home is at the center of the walled hotel complex. While I was out early and back late, I could tell they were waiting up to make sure I got back ok. The Ersi room was perfect for solo travel, the shower area was large and TV over bed was great for a little relaxing before sleep. They filled my small refrigerator with cold drinks that awaited me each evening. I travelled from London via Eurostar to Gare du Nord and it was an easy walk to Montmartre. Sacre Couer and Moulin Rouge and Place du tertre are very close. Grocery store and secure ATM are nearby, Helene will give you a map. Two door entry into the resort courtyard, first door has keypad, second is a key, so it is all very secure.

Room Tip: Each room is very different. Please review carefully on the website.
