Fantastic fresh food, friendly and attentive staff and excellent wine. We loved it and were given a great table on a friday night without a reservation.

“A new favourite!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014

I absolutely adore this restaurant, which I would describe as a bit of a hidden gem. As a group of 4 we visited the restaurant without a dinner reservation and despite it being practically full and our French being very poor we were seated within a few minutes whilst a table was prepared for us. The waitress was very attentive and friendly, the wine menu very enjoyable and the food menu quite 'traditional'. Food and wine both arrived promptly without being rushed, the portions were incredibly generous. The restaurant seemed to turn into an informal 'bar' later in the evening with the odd bit of karaoke, we even had a friendly little dog weaving around the restaurant. This was a fantastic night and I cannot wait to revisit. I still dream about the heavenly chocolate fondant!

“A fabulous affordable hidden gem in the Latin quarter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2013

A fantastic and affordable vin bar with specialising wines from the south of France. Witha great selection of wines from the Languedoc region, if you like hearty and spicy French wine, it is the place to be. We were pleasantly surprised when we chance upon this wine bar run by a charming couple. To start, we had some ham and charcuterie that came with the carafe of red for 16 euros that is served for their Happy Hour. A real value for money. For the main, I had the the duck which was juicy and full of flavour while my companion went for some snails and marinated salmon. All this beautifully washed down with a bottle of full bodied Fougier. All in all, a great non pretentious place to have dinner in a very touristic and expensive neighbourhood.

We had a wonderful evening celebrateing my wife on her 40 birthday. Everything was above expectations. The live jazz band really made it exceptional! And I don't even like jazz.......

“Good food & wine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 October 2013 via mobile

The service was a bit chaotic, but done with a smile. The waitress forgot to chill our rose' but gave us 2 glassses of a good Chablis to keep us going until our wine was suitably chilled. The food was good but not outstanding, but the overall dining experience was good. The restaurant was full throughout our meal and people were waiting for tables at the bar.

One noticeable thing was that the restaurant was being used by a large proportion of locals -always a good sign.
