“Excellent Tiny Restaurant”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

It was beginning to rain, and we were famished, so after being denied at several other restaurants, we stumbled into this tiny restaurant in the Montmartre area of Paris. With only 25 chairs, and one waitress, it was mostly empty, but the internet told us it was decent so we tried it.

Wow. This was probably the best meal we had in Paris, and that's saying something. For appetizers, my wife had the tomato-basil mousse and I had the pear terrine, both of which were delicious. For entrees, she had the scallops and I had the beef steak with pepper sauce, and there wasn't even a spot of either left on our plates when we were done. We split the creme brûlée for dessert and enjoyed it immensely.

Yes, it is very small, but part of the fun was making friends with the honeymooning Danish couple next to us. That just made the meal better.

Combine the excellent food, good wine, good service with a bargain price, and you've got a great experience. We'll be back.

“Small restaurant big flavors”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

A bike tour guide recommended this place and we were glad she did. The place holds maybe 26 people tops and that is seated without any space between you. The place is sketchy from the outside but once you look inside you see a cute stone room. I agree with previous commends that the small space adds to the charm. Great french food but full of American tourists when we went. I will definitely recommend this place to others who want a great meal at a great price. Be sure to get the chocolate cake as it is excellent! Opens at 8pm.

“Cosy and casual”

A very cute little spot on a lively street, food, service and atmosphere were lovely. Price is very good for Paris and for what you get (good-sized and tasty portions). Will be visiting again! (Remember to book though!)

“Fabulous for the price”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

Great food... I don't think you could eat food as good any cheaper in Paris. Be prepared to bump elbows with the people at the table next door it really is that small but I think that adds to the charm as it gets the conversation going.

No the sort of place you could easily take small children or babies... there really is no space but I would definitely go back.

“Nice, not incredible”
Reviewed 26 May 2014 via mobile

Very cosy (read:tiny) restaurant but lovely staff and a nice atmosphere. Food was good but not fantastic, excellent value though. Steak was served well done and duck was smothered in a honey gloop. Not delicate eating but both were still tasty. Recommended if you're on a budget, want trad French dishes and don't necessarily want fine dining.
