It was beginning to rain, and we were famished, so after being denied at several other restaurants, we stumbled into this tiny restaurant in the Montmartre area of Paris. With only 25 chairs, and one waitress, it was mostly empty, but the internet told us it was decent so we tried it.
Wow. This was probably the best meal we had in Paris, and that's saying something. For appetizers, my wife had the tomato-basil mousse and I had the pear terrine, both of which were delicious. For entrees, she had the scallops and I had the beef steak with pepper sauce, and there wasn't even a spot of either left on our plates when we were done. We split the creme brûlée for dessert and enjoyed it immensely.
Yes, it is very small, but part of the fun was making friends with the honeymooning Danish couple next to us. That just made the meal better.
Combine the excellent food, good wine, good service with a bargain price, and you've got a great experience. We'll be back.
