This restaurant was recommended to us as a place where we would leave looking like a Buddha, correct. The décor is exotique and pleasing, the service was excellent, the food was magnifique. We had cous cous royal and found we simply couldn't eat all that was provided. We were told an entrée wasn't needed and this also proved correct. For 80 euro we received huge meals and drinks as well as a bottle of wine.

Just outside Montparnasse station, we saw Qs outside, which is generally a good sign..Half hour to be seated and food ordered but worth the wait! Atmos / ambiance / decor was true North African; loud, bustling, slightly chaotic but all added to the experience. We ordered a traditional Tunisian fig liqueur aperitifs which meant we also got a kemia (tapas style platter) of marinated & pickled dishes- mmmm!

For mains we ordered chicken tagine and couscous mixte ( merguez sausages/ lamb brochette and chicken served on a huge pile of fluffy couscous) . Tagine was cooked perfectly with lemons and olives to create a sumptuous aromatiic dish. Food arrived quickly with sides of beans and chickpeas in a rich harrissa sauce and platter of vegetables. Only real issue was when we spotted a cat in the restaurant, when we queried with the waiter, he apologised but said "the cat didn't speak French?!?" and brought us a saki-like drink. Washed down wirh a bottle of Sancerre reasonably priced. Overall, relaxed , good humoured service in beautiful surroundings all added to a memorable food experience..will be looking for a good N African rest when I get back to UK!!

Great place. We went there without booking and the boss asked us to wait a few minutes despite the crowd inside. He managed to find us a place and it was a great start to a lovely evening. The food is out of this world and so different from the usual couscous restaurants. The service is fast and efficient. The atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful and everybody seem to have a great time !! Superb.

I stayed in Montparnasse during a recent business trip and having lived in the UK for more than 10 years now (I am French), I fancied a good old couscous for dinner. We found this restaurant a short walk from our hotel. It seemed like a very popular place, judding by the queue to get in. We waited about 30 minutes to get seated (Table of 2, without reservations) but it was worth it. I ordered a couscous with Chicken and it was simply excellent, the meat was falling of the bones and the vegetables/sauces were very tasty. Would maybe recommend to book to eat there as it seems to get very busy.

The interior is typically moroccan and really nice. Service is friendly and the food presentation is really promising but the taste of food was good but not more. The more interesting thing we could observe was that many people were waiting inside and outside the restaurant to get a table. Seems to be a popular location, maybe it was only because of easter holiday (?)
