We came upon this restaurant in the lower Montmatre area as were just giving up on the idea of finding a restaurant in that area at all. It proved to be a wonderful evening.
I had personally never had a raclette meal before, so for me it was a whole new experience. We had the Mixed set menu at 21€. Following a really delicious and generous blue cheese and walnut salad starter (but there were lots of other choices) the main course consisted of platters of cheese, cold meats, raw steak and a baked potato - it didn't look a lot I have to admit. There was a small hot plate on our table, and we had a small frying pan and wooden scraper. You melted the cheese and poured it onto some cold meat with a piece of potato. When that was all finished, you fried your pieces of steak. It was great fun, absolutely delicious and in the end very filling, more than enough to eat. There was also a selection of three dips and some cornichon. Dessert choice was limited, but we had ice cream, which was delicious. We also had a carafe with very nice and cold rose wine. The waiting staff were very pleasant and the interior was quite casual, but it suited the dining experience.
If my partner hadn't been there, I probably wouldn't have known what to do, but no doubt we would have been told if we had asked.
There was no bad parts really, it was a nice experience over all.
