We came upon this restaurant in the lower Montmatre area as were just giving up on the idea of finding a restaurant in that area at all. It proved to be a wonderful evening.

Good
I had personally never had a raclette meal before, so for me it was a whole new experience. We had the Mixed set menu at 21€. Following a really delicious and generous blue cheese and walnut salad starter (but there were lots of other choices) the main course consisted of platters of cheese, cold meats, raw steak and a baked potato - it didn't look a lot I have to admit. There was a small hot plate on our table, and we had a small frying pan and wooden scraper. You melted the cheese and poured it onto some cold meat with a piece of potato. When that was all finished, you fried your pieces of steak. It was great fun, absolutely delicious and in the end very filling, more than enough to eat. There was also a selection of three dips and some cornichon. Dessert choice was limited, but we had ice cream, which was delicious. We also had a carafe with very nice and cold rose wine. The waiting staff were very pleasant and the interior was quite casual, but it suited the dining experience.

Bad
If my partner hadn't been there, I probably wouldn't have known what to do, but no doubt we would have been told if we had asked.
There was no bad parts really, it was a nice experience over all.

I had never had raclette, so my husband found this place for our honeymoon. The food was great & the service was fantastic!! The lady running the restaurant was very attentive, even though she was the only one working the front of the house. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We spent our first night in Paris and were weary from our journey, and a little disoriented. This was just down the street and we checked TripAdvisor for reviews. We were delighted at the service and our server, Philippe, was wonderful. We had requested red wine, but he advised us against it, and he was right! He was very helpful and explained the menu and food to us all. The cuts of meat were generous enough that we were all full and satisfied, and he had an interest in showing us a good time. It was a wonderful introduction to Paris on an out of the way corner of our street. The atmosphere was fine, and there was older 1970s era music playing for us. Philippe never made us feel unwelcome or silly for asking questions, and his English was very good. Thank you for a very relaxing, nice time, that put us at ease in the new city.

We had mixed meat raclette which comes with a variety of cooked and ready to cook meats, a baked potato and cheese. Our vegetarian was also catered for with a plate of cheese, baked potato, egg and veggies. We had a great time cooking the tasty food at the table. There's free wifi too which made planning the rest of our night much easier. The atmosphere was relaxed and we were the only non-French there. What stood out the most was how incredibly helpful and friendly the service was. She recommended what we might like to try and went out of her way to find out about places we might like to try next and how to get there.

This hidden gem was perfect! We went after a day walking all around Paris and we ended up here. It looked like a normal place, no tourists at all the day we went, the staff was friendly...and the fondues!! ohlala! they were great!!!
We tried the cheese fondue and also the chocolate one, they were both amazing!!

I totally recommend Les Fondus de la Raclette!!!
