“Great sample of history, architecture and culture”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

One of MUST-SEE in France. My trip to Versaiile was independant from travel agencies (by RER), and I enjoy this independance, low costs, safe time. Don't be afraid to lack information, because you'll be provided by very high quality informative audio guides.

“Huge and Golden Chateau”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

We like this chateau with lots of paintings and history to it. Very nice and huge garden. Day trip and lots of walking. Too many people as it depends on when you are visiting, and long waiting lines to get in. Once in, it is a must visit place in France.

“Worth the trip to Paris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

In the two weeks I was in France, Versailles was the most amazing part. The price of admission, which is a reasonable 18 Euros includes the palace itself along with all of the gardens, and the two Trianons, and "Le petite Train" to transport you around the grounds. You can easily spend an entire day exploring the home of Marie Antoinette, the pastoral village she created and the amazing gardens which surround the palace. If I ever make it back to Paris, I will certainly be going back!

“Beautiful gardens!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

My day visiting was quite pleasant - I travelled there on a Thursday - which was not too busy at all! The interior was breathtaking - and mildly mind numbing. To try and fathom how overboard Louis XIV was with things! Wow. However I preferred the gardens - so well maintained and peaceful. The entire trip took ~ 5 hours. (from St. Michel Metro in Paris) - I would highly recommend if you have a day to spare!
