“Lovely little restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

We booked a table here after reading the reviews and were not disappointed.
The fish was superb - they make a point of stating that it is 'sauvage' i.e. not factory farmed - and the presentation stunning - it brings a smile!
We had the scallops starter followed by turbot and barbue - both excellent and perectly cooked.
The cafe gourmande is wonderful - light and based on fruit (fresh berries, a sorbet and, as it is apricot season a beautiful apricot mousse). Worth every centime!
We were able to sit outside - it is on the edge of a little old square.

“A Great finish to our France Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 May 2014

We had driven up from our house near Toulouse and wanted a nice evening meal before heading up to the Channel Tunnel the next day .
Restaurant was perfect in every way . We ate early so were the only guests at the start but it still had a nice atmosphere . The Gambas starter was exquisite , main course of Turbot beautifully done and the Cafe Gourmand was the right finish . All enjoyed with the very good cheaper bottle of Chablis .

It was down the road form our hotel but tucked down a side road on a square ……..difficult to fault ….we would recommend 100% . Towards the end of our meal three more tables filled up and were all French …whether locals or visitors we could not tell but we took this as a good sign …..rather than a restaurant completely full of overseas visitors

“A true pearl in Versailles”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2014

Excellent sea food in this charming little restaurant. What a delight it was making this discovery. An honest cuisine with fresh products and an excellent chef add up to a superior experience. The restaurant is small, so reservations are highly recommended. When packed service can be slow, but the delicious meal makes up for the wait. Good things come in a small package, never truer. This is a true pearl in Versailles!

“Fish as fish needs to be”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2014 via mobile

We reserved a table at 2030 on a Thursday evening and had a wonderful and culinarily exciting evening.

This is the place where fish is as fish needs to be.

Price wise a bit elevated, but 100% you get the quality you pay for.

As it is a small restaurant, you are very appreciated as customer and you can eat your meal in tranquility.

Nice place... definitely we come again!

“Part of a pre Christmas treat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2014

We booked a table here before we left the UK and were very pleased that we did. Food was beautifully prepared and the service was friendly and attentive. I can imagine how lovely it must be sitting outside during spring and summer, but there was something rather warm and cosy about the place on a cold December night that made the visit very worthwhile.
