“Escape from the cattle drive”
Reviewed 18 June 2014 via mobile

Spent the morning being herded through Versailles, not wanting to risk a meal inside the corral we decided to resort to our trusty Trip Advisor. The app pointed us to this place. Of all things, we had a hamburger and fries. And wine. And desert. And maybe just a bit more wine. I prefer burgers on the medium rare side, back home it's hard to order this way anymore because of the food police, but here, they cook it how you want it. Meal was excellent, we were primed and ready to go back to the cattle drive for round two. Definitely a great place for a lunch break.

Found the restaurant by accident, as it was close to,our hotel....what a find! Great meal ( beef was perfect!). Friendly waiter, excellent wine choices, amazing starters and dessert as well. A cozy, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend.

“Excellent French Fare”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

We enjoyed our meal very much. Everything was excellent, starting from the foie gras, on to the steak au poivre and blue cheese dressing for the second steak and a superb iles flotant. This was one of the best French meals for a non gourmet restaurant. Highly recommended.

Reviewed 26 February 2014

Had a meal for 2 and a bottle of wine
Great starter
GREAT steak - wife had fillet, I had entrecôte with onion - both fantastic

Only complaint was we were next to a draughty window and wife had to keep coat wrapped round her legs

All round great night and well worth the visit

“Place where locals go”
Reviewed 27 October 2013 via mobile

I went here on a Tuesday night & while I showed up early (7:30) by the time we left at 9, the pace was packed with locals. No English to be heard.

the place is about meat. I had the veal kidneys, my dining mate a cotes de boeuf. Neither if us could finish our plates & so can't tell you about dessert. All very well prepared with nice side dishes. Entree was a very garlicky escargot.

One weird thing, though. Even though we were the first people seated, we got the worst seat - next to the register and in a walk way through which every person waiter & guest alike had to pass. I'm afraid I felt a little discriminated against. We were also rushed thru dinner, presumably because we asked for the English menu. Hello - thus IS a tourist town!
