This hotel is as close as one can possibly get to Versailles. I was ill so was able to come back to the room, take a nap, then go back. Versailles is exhausting. It was nice to walk through the gardens in the evening then back to the hotel. Staying this close allows you to go to the palace just before closing which is when the crowds are leaving. I was there end of May and it was packed inside!
Here is something remarkable. I told the concierge I was ill and fifteen minutes later, Monsier le doctor was knocking on my door. He prescribed antibiotics and the charge was only 65 E. Can you beat that? A doctor coming to see you at your hotel?
The following day, the concierge assisted me in getting a room in a fabulous estate home near the D-day beaches, when every hotel on the coast was taken due to a French holiday.
NOTE: You can get your Versailles ticket at the bar next door saving you from standing in line! The hotel has an elevator. I had a lovely room with a huge bathtub. They have AC. I could see the gates of Versailles from my window. You also see all the buses. Drop off your bags, then go park your car. I parked on the street for two days and did not get a ticket.

Room Tip: They have AC in the summer, so you can close the windows to the noise of the street. It is Versaill...

We stayed here for our last night in France before ending our two month long trip. After checking in we were going up to our room when the receptionist ran after us saying she wanted to check our room as it had had an odour problem. When she checked it was fine. On our return later that evening the room had a dreadful smell coming from the bathroom. We found it almost impossible to use the bathroom as we could only stand to be in it for a very short time. Our room rate was reduced the next day when checking out which was nice, but overall we never would have stayed here if we realised the smell would be so bad (sewerage). Fortunately it was only for one night.
Also the walls were very thing and we could hear everything the man in the next room was saying on his mobile phone until late at night.
All in all not a great stay. The one good thing about this hotel is that it is very well located right near the palace.

Found hotel through Tripadvisor, Stayed 2 nights.
The hotel is charming and quiet, very close to the palace, so was easy to return to room and then back to the palace.
Breakfast was only european style, however there was plenty to eat and started the day on a full stomach.
Been to a few hotels in France, this rates high in comfort, service and staff attentiveness.
Would recommend this hotel to our friends and use it on our next visit from Australia,
.

Room Tip: Room 102 at front of building with view gates of palace from bed.

Beautiful room decorated in ornate tapestries just minutes away from Versailles. Great service. Would be a wonderful location for an event - wedding etc. Beautiful ballroom.

Room Tip: Nicer rooms are more expensive, interior rooms don't have a view.

We loved Versailles! Stayed three days, June 30-July 3. Hotel is very close to the Palace, that's about its best asset.
Only good thing is were were at the palace from 8am until closing, then dinner. Returned just to sleep. There must be better accommodation close to the palace.
We found a great restaurant for dinner outside, just down the street - Le Resto du Roy. Excellent beef!

Really enjoyed this hotel for its location and charming interior. Rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. Our room overlooked a patio for the restaurant, and we were concerned about noise. However, the patio was not in use during our stay. The hotel is right across the street from Versailles, on the west side of the bus parking lot. The staff was friendly and helpful.
