We had (late) reservations for dinner at the Adelaïde Restaurant, on arrival we had to wait a bit for our table to get ready, but the patron gave us two complimentary kir (white wine & creme de cassis) at the bar, so we didn't mind at all.
Anyhow it was very busy (even though we were there in low/shoulder season at the end of April) so reservations are definitely recommended.
We had the set menu (the more expensive one for 24.50€) and that turned out to be a very good deal. For starters we had the smoked salmon, which was ok (standard salmon really), the beef carpaccio and salad were great. For mains we had three pepper pork steaks and duck breast tournedos and both were excellent. Dessert was pana cotta and a red fruit crumble with chocolate sauce, really good again.
We tried the white and red house wines and both were good value for little money.
The service was attentive without being bothersome. The bread was delicious and promptly filled up, when we ran out if it, without us having to say anything. The patron apparently runs a tight ship.
English menu. No Amex accepted but Visa & Master ok.
Would go again.
