The quality of the sushi and sashimi served in this restaurant were a pleasant surprise, and the waiters were kind and very efficient. For those who prefer not to eat raw fish, they also serve a good range of meet and fish brochettes, but no soba or udon. Their tempura is good and tasty, but a little on the greasy side. Prices were absolutely reasonable.

Most so-called Japanese restaurants in France are a disappointment, but Sushi Boat in Carcassonne serves good fresh sushi at reasonable prices and the service is good. Not too far from the Cite if you want to avoid being 'ripped off' in the tourist restaurants there.

The Sushi Boat is a peaceful haven from the bustle of the Bastide. This is a very brave venture, considering the array of good French restaurants local to Carcassonne (although one has to be selective within the medieval city!). We had a range of sushi and sashimi - all very acceptable at lunch. It is handy to the port and railway station too. Friendly service, and a good all-round menu.

Following a trip to the Saturday Carcassonne market we returned to the car and saw this restaurant across the road. Starved as we are of oriental food in the LAnguedoc we went in to give it a try and were rather impressed. We sat at the sushi conveyor belt and had a mix of cooked dishes and normal sushi. It was all freshly prepared and pretty authentic. Washed down with some Japanese beer it ended up being 25 Euros a head for the three of us. The decor was interesting and we will go again mob handed the next time we go to the market.....

A new modern restaurant near to the bastide in Carcassonne.
We found this place exceptionally clean with fantastic service from the waitress.
The food as suggested by the name is mainly sushi but we also ordered some great set menus with fresh kebabs and mackeral fish.
We paid around 26 euros a head including some japanese beers which were a nice touch.
The place is very proffessional and we were impressed by our evening there, definately reccommended!!
