“My first ever Japanese Meal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 September 2013

I am a great lover of Thai, Chinese and Indian food but I have never really fancied Japanese food before thinking it was all raw food and seaweed, my son who was visiting me suggested we try
the Sushi Boat, I was not too keen but I went and was very impressed with the food offerings, I did avoid the Sushi but they have about 4 fixed 2 course menu's starting at 9.95 euros, with different skewers, Rice and Soup. The whole experience was very enjoyable with friendly staff. I shall go there again.

“Not bad, kind of grumpy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2013

We had dinner here with our kids on our vacation. We ordered two menus and some additional loose items. The food was not bad, but it was also not better than a lot of the all you can eat places at home.

Service was a bit grumpy with the almost scowl never leaving the face of the single host. The decor was kind of not totally there. It was attempting to be Japanes, but it was just not.

All in all not bad if you crave something else than French food while you are there, but really there are nicer options probably.

“Who would have thought? Top notch sushi in southern France!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 November 2012

Sushi anyone?

If you are in southern France and are looking for a break from the traditional French cuisine, Sushi boat is a great choice. Not expecting much besides the normal run-of-the-mill sushi and teriyaki meals? You would be wrong!

Sushi boat offers a great balance of meals for those who love and don't love raw fish. In addition to some of the freshest sushi and sashimi dishes, Sushi boat also offers a plethora of tasty Yakitori dishes.

- Prepare to be delighted.

“OK , i suppose”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2012

Having been in Carcassonne 5 days i was craving something different apart from the staple french menus.
This place looks fantastic, someone really has spent the money on the decor!
I arrived early evening on a Saturday to be one of only 3 clients at that time.
The menus are well set out , service is ok if you have some french in your vocabulary!!
The food while good is a little small on the portion side and i left 39 euros and one hour later a little peckish.
Maybe better for a special event rather than an empty stomach?

“good sushi and sashimi”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2012

The quality of the sushi and sashimi served in this restaurant were a pleasant surprise, and the waiters were kind and very efficient. For those who prefer not to eat raw fish, they also serve a good range of meet and fish brochettes, but no soba or udon. Their tempura is good and tasty, but a little on the greasy side. Prices were absolutely reasonable.
