This excellent hotel is perfectly situated just outside the walls of Le Cite. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great rooms (Superior) with direct access to the pool. Pool is a must when it was 37 degrees hot. The bathroom was very delicate. Very nice bathroom. All the facilities was very cleen. Large carpark.
The aircon could have been better.

The rooms are small but very confortable. Bathrooms large. The staff is very helpfull. Breakfast buffet is okay. Dinner option is a great value and the food is good, but the portions are large. The pool is very nice.

Great little hotel, had a great room which had a view of the Walled City. Literally, five minute walk to the walled city and very handy to everything.
Room was large and comfortable, but found the restaurant meals to be small and expensive for the size. Also would have been nice to have at least one menu in English instead of trying to get one of the waiters to try and help.
Bar fridge in room wasn't working but was replaced as soon as I called reception, still couldn't get the fridge to cool down though, was a little annoying.
Would definitely stay there again.

If you are visiting Carcassonne as a tourist you could not really better the location - except possibly by staying within the walls - although there are only a few very expensive hotels there. This hotel has a lovely setting with views of the medieval city walls at the end of the road. There is a little shuttle from the city gate to the newer city (although it is also quite old) ending at the station and port for the Canal du Midi. There are trips on the canal, shopping in the newer city and, of course, delightful sightseeing in the medieval 'cite' - and a lot of plastic swords, chainmail and exciting smelling soaps, chocolates and enticing tables in the squares and streets. The hotel itself offers everything you need. We found the beds a bit hard and the service in the restaurant a bit mixed depending on which staff were working but overall they were helpful and cheerful. The pool was surrounded by old olive trees and lavender. The new part of the hotel blended well with the old. The hotel was used for meetings of the local rotary club which has to be some kind of a recommendation. We saw a vast number of bottles of champagne being carried in to one of their meetings!
