I stayed here for a weekend after reading the reviews on this site. I really can't speak highly enough of this beautiful boutique hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure that your stay was perfect.

The hotel location is incredible, in the middle of the Old Town and we were given a ground floor room with a terrace beside the Courtyard (Room 20). Breakfast was included in the price and was more than adequate.

As we visited "Off Season" there was very few tourists around and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. If you are going to Carcassonne then stay here, you won't regret it.

This is a great value for staying inside the walled city of Carcassone - its only about 20 metres from the Ile De La Cite so you get all the advantages of the same location for much less. It has a nice restaurant and you can always book a table at the Ile De La Cite michellin starred restaurant if you want to splurge.

Despite being part of the best western chain, its of a much higher standard than most best western hotels in the US and feels more like a boutique independent hotel.

Only disadvantage is that parking is not as convenient as Ile De la Cite

this is a great location looking out over the chateau inside the ancient cite, we have visited before but not stayed within the walls and it was lovely to browse around and pause to sip a beer in the square and eat in the cite and be able to walk back. The hotel is good, lovely wetroom bathroom and well fitted/equipped but we had room 9 which is overlooking a roof terrace before the chateau (see photo) which was a slight disappointment for a luxury room - the rooms at the other end did not have the same visual hinderance. We ate out for lunch end evenings but breakfast was fine - i do like the ability to do your own boiled eggs to your liking and the description of crude eggs brought a smile to my face. don't let the receptionist kid you that the car park outside the walls is insecure so you pay for the hotel car park @ 10 euro a night, we stayed 2 nights and saw no problems or smashed glass in the outside the walls car park.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and it was a great base be it for our driving day trips or a quiet evening people watching/rewinding. Located in the heart of the Cite. Our room was comfortable and allowed us to recharge from the long plane/car ride when we were starting our holiday.

We were given a room a couple of floors above the hotel entrance with a great view of the Chateau Comtal. The downside would be it is right near the bar across the alley. It gets quite noisy if you have the windows open (which we liked to do). In fairness, when you shut the windows, it soundproofs pretty well. The bathroom is clean and room pretty comfortable.

All the staff were very nice and thoughtful. Reception was great esp with giving directions. The staff at breakfast was very helpful. They had a very good and well stocked selection of breakfast items, including the facility to softboil your own eggs :-)

We took advantage of the secure parking facility which was within the walls, a couple of blocks away from the hotel. Reception was pretty good with giving directions so we had no problem. The room, breakfast and parking really was convenient to our needs.

Loved the place/facilities, esp when we compared to other hotels we stayed at in other walled or fort locations (Siena, Mont St Michel).

We stayed for two nights during the low season. It was cold in Carcasonne, but just amazing to stay INSIDE the walls. The hotel was perfectly nice, but the location and great price made it essentially perfect. Staying within the walls of Carcasonne was definitely one of the travel hightpoints of my life.
