Description: To offer our customers maximum fresh local food in a quiet and very cozy in the heart of the medieval city of Carcassonne under our school aims. Our card is reduced; our main concern is to focus on quality of products. The restaurant consists of different spaces, which allows us to receive both individual customers as groups while respecting individual privacy.

“Rare duck and ham on vegetarian request!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2013

Walked past most of the cite street restaurants as we wanted somewhere a bit more private to eat. Found this quiet courtyard. Menu was a real problem to my husband who is vegetarian. Waiter spoke some English and we ordered duck (well done) for me and a salad without the ham for my husband. Well the duck was rare and had to go back and the salad arrived with ham on it! Apart from this the starters were goats salad and they were lovely and we had ice cream 'balls' for desert!

“Lucky Night”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2013

We were spending the night inside La Cite's walls and rather than eat at one of the crowded bars and cafe's near the hotel, we walked a bit and stumbled upon this excellent restaurant. What luck. The staff was excellent and it wasn't overly crowded. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic meal in a lovely setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2013

There is no denying that Carcassonne is a tourist town, with numerous options for food and drink. I did quite a bit of looking around at menus during the day and the menu for Les Cours de la Cite was by far my favourite even before i went in. I was quite early for dinner, but the hosts were so welcoming and helpful, the decor was authentic, but contemporary too, with lovely indoor and outdoor options for seating, in a quiet area off of the main tourist streets, but still right in the centre of the old city. The best part though was the food, which was clearly home-cooked and presented excellently. I enjoyed all my courses, particularly the chocolate mousse for dessert and it was excellent value for money in such a touristy area, where you may expect to pay quite a bit, but not get such lovely food and drink. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone going to Carcassonne and thank them very much for their food and hospitality.

“Friendly service and good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2013

The restaurant is off the beat path within the walled part of Carcassonne. That makes it a quiet, calm place to have a great meal. The staff was exceptional even though some of them did not speak any English. They aim to please. The good was good--and reasonably priced.

“Off the beaten track”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2013

This restaurant is a little hard to find but keep asking as it is off the hub-bub of the main touristy streets and provides an oasis of quiet charm and good food. Either the restaurant has changed hands or the owners have improved, but I can't understand the complaints from a couple of years ago. Service was attentive, food was excellent, atmosphere more than pleasant, plus it was CLEAN and appealing in appearance on the inside where we ate.
