We saw 4 night stay in this Hotel in Carcassonne on Travelzoo, booked thro Fleetway Travel. Deal was bed, breakfast and 1 Michelin star evening meal. Not been to this area of France before and not stayed in French country house before so was all new for us. We had to upgrade room as all standard rooms had gone, we hired a car, Hotel is located just off busy road but in its own grounds so road not an issue. On arrival in car park, we were met by member of staff in golf buggy very helpful taking our cases short distance to Reception, our room was the blue room,on 1st floor, was huge, had sofa, 2 chairs, tv, large wardrobes, large comfy bed,big bathroom, coffee machine, huge windows with outside shutters (to shade from morning sun and any road noise). Hotel has outdoor pool area, annex rooms, a Bistro and Golf course. Breakfast brought to your table includes basket of bread and pastries, small pot v tasty scrambled egg, large coffee pot, fresh orange juice, ham and cheese , pot home made chutney, mixture of fresh fruit and pot yoghurt, jams etc. all so lovely. No rush just enjoyed in lovely decorated room overlooking garden patio area. Our Michelin meal was just superb, glass of recommended wine with each course was included, 4 courses, we seemed to have been given free carafe water and free additional tray mini desserts at end ...real luxury meal for us! Staff so friendly. Had one meal in the Bistro, just few minutes walk from hotel, cooked our meat on the open fire very nice food. Carcassone is lovely place for short stay. Need car to get to the old walled town which has lovely shops and cafes. Carcassone main town also very interesting. Enjoyed our short stay , lovely hotel , lovely room, lovely food .. very quiet ..we really enjoyed it.

We spent 4 very enjoyable nights at the Chateau in early September. The service from the reception staff was excellent and our beautiful room was kept very clean. We had a very good meal in the bistro with attentive and friendly service and another in the restaurant where the excellent food was not quite matched by the service. This is certainly a venue I would recommend.

We booked this hotel as we wanted to visit Carcassonne and were more than happy with the choice. Comfortable large room, wonderful meal in the gourmet restaurant, (don't miss the soufflé) friendly staff and beautiful gardens.
Marie and her team were extremely professional and made everyone feel relaxed. Truly the mark of a team working in perfect unison and obviously happy in their work.
The house is gorgeous and you can see the attention to detail where ever you look.
Thank you for a happy break Marie and we will return to explore the area further.

It was an experience for us. After a long trip by car we relax in this place. We dive in the swimming pool and we have a long drink by the pool. The room was large, overlooking the garden, the service excellent and the staff very friendly. The hotel has a gourmet restaurant. You have to try "cassoulet", a traditional plate. Carcassonne is 10 minutes by car. The hotel is just before the hospital. Be cautious not to pass, because there are not obvious signs indicating the hotel.

This is an exquisite Relais Chateaux, an old Family house kept intact with love and care. Tradition is everywhere . From the entrance to the beautiful garden that leads to the main entrance of the hotel, the reception and its classy receptionists, onto the corridor that leads to the rooms or the different salons. The rooms are traditionally renovated, ours was relaxing and spacious with a red coral decoration, the bathroom old fashioned but elegant with marble details.
As it was summer, breakfast was served at the veranda, overlooking a wonderful garden, but reaching the breakfast-dining area, I walked through the winter dining room that, I must say, is extremely chic and inviting. Furthermore the Hotel has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool that was a relaxing moment after having walked through the castle the whole day, a great golf course with a traditional Bistrot right next to it. Our stay in this hotel was memorable and we plan to go back soon!! It is a place you relax and enjoy French finesse and tradition as well as excellent food and service.

This was a birthday gift from my good lady wife. We stayed three nights. The chateau itself was like going to a bygone age where quality and service were paramount. The rooms were so comfortable followed by breakfast which I have seldom experienced. Dinner in the bistro was superior to most "quality" retsaurants in the UK. Dinner in the One star Michelin restaurant was a revelation with flavours I didn't realise existed with wines to match. I look forward to returning.

We got a great deal for this hotel with Fleetway Travel, flights, superior room with breakfast, car hire and one meal in their Michelin starred restaurant. On our arrival we were taken to our room (luggage collected from our car and taken to the room by valet) which was lovely with settee, armchairs and 2 TV's (shame there was only BBC World News and CNN in English but then we weren't there to watch TV). Like a previous reviewer we found that having a toilet with no basin at one part of the large suite and bathroom at the other strange but we managed.
As we we were on a 'deal' which I would say would be at least 60-75% less than the actual price of just the room we were looked after really well and the staff were always pleasant.
As the Monday was my birthday we decided to have the 'free' meal on that evening. This would normally cost €99 each! The meal was superb, starting off with a Grand Marnier cocktail and wine was included, a different one for each course including a dessert wine. When the dessert, a fantastic warm Grand Marnier souffle with a granita on the side came mine had a Roman Candle lit and everyone on the dinning terrace (all nationalities) sang Happy Birthday or Bon Anniversaire to me, a lovely surprise, but that was then followed with a plate with petit fours and a lit birthday candle on which the chef had piped Joueaux Anniversairre in chocolate, a perfect end to a perfect 65th birthday.
Thank you everyone at Domaine D'Auriac,

Room Tip: Our superior room overlooked the garden, terrace and swimming pool. It was a lovely location.
