Great location, 15min walk to the walled city (which can also be seen from the hotel) for sightseeing and less to the centre of Carcassonne for shopping and food. Free parking available at hotel. Indoor heated swimming pool with view of walled city. Quiet neighborhood.

This modern hotel is named 3 Crowns. I asked a couple of the staff why it is named that and they had no idea. Hmmm. It was the smallest room I have been in while touring southern France for 2 weeks. The room was barely big enough to walk around the bed. The bathroom was small and there was no place to put toiletries. No counter space. The only redeeming benefit was the view out the window was of the walled city. I got to see it as the sun went down and it turned the city into a golden fortress. Magnificent! The parking was across the street and free. That is a good thing also. Not sure I would recommend this place.

We booked this hotel last-minute for a three night stay in Carcassonne (we flew in from Bournemouth, UK). The hotel and furnishings are fairly modern, everything looked very clean and the bed/bedding was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was quite small but perfectly adequate and the loo was separate which made life easier. We paid a little extra to have a balcony with a view of La Cite, and this was stunning (I could even see it when laying in bed!). Location wise, it was perfect as it was a short walk to: a) the airport shuttle-bus stop, b) the centre of town/restaurants, c) canal and riverside walks and, most importantly, d) La Cite. We enjoyed two lovely breakfasts in the hotel restaurant with panoramic views (you don't need to book in advance) and had another lovely breakfast on a sunny pavement in town - it's nice to have the choice. The hotel has a small indoor pool (with a lovely view), but we didn't have time to use it. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Carcassonne.

Room Tip: The rooms facing La Cite are worth paying extra for if your budget can cope.

Stayed there for 3 nights overlooking the Medieval city. Worth paying the extra for the view. Had a good time supported by good , attentive staff who couldn't do enough.
Recommended. walking distance from the town centre where there are lots of cafes at which to eat

Room Tip: ask for a panoramic view room

Bathroom with no toilet? Yes I am serious and £100 per night. The toilet is a separate cubicle, like a porta loo on the opposite side of the room and genuinely not big enough to turn around in. I have no idea how they have the cheek to sell this room.

Stayed here on the last night of my holiday as I was aware of the great views of the Cite, relatively easy to find and easy access to car parking, which was free on the Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Clean, comfortable hotel with small indoor pool, again with views of the Cite, as does the restaurant but we decided to eat out. Tiny terrace above the restaurant for taking pics too. We declined the somewhat pricey option of breakfast. Free wifi and swimming was good but the one complimentary bottle of water for two people seemed a bit stingy but apart from that would recommend.

Room Tip: rooms with a view are worth paying extra for as it is spectacular

Stayed here for one night after flying in from Bournemouth. The views of La Cite from our room balcony were amazing, especially when the sun went down and the floodlights came on - there is a roof area you can access with even better views! Underground parking is a bonus, especially on a hot day. Location is perfect for exploring La Cite or Carcassonne itself.

Room Tip: Rooms on the right side of the photo have a better view.
