“A little shabby...but a good learning experience”
Reviewed 9 August 2013

The biggest disappointment with this museum was that almost all the exhibition descriptions were written in TERRIBLE English. They'd clearly just done a google translate- some of the descriptions were almost incomprehensible! Luckily I speak French, so could read the French then translate in normal English to my sister so she could get the most out of it. Overall it was interesting to see the instruments of torture, and we are glad we went. Would I recommend this? Well, if you are visiting a medieval site for the first time, it goes with the theme and is a unique visit- but your expectations should not be too high. The quality of the visuals is shabby, but the content makes for a good learning experience.

“Very poor value for money”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

Visited this museum on Sunday 19th May. The first section was just a collection of mannequins behind curtains/doors with eerie music, noises and dimmed lighting. The second section did provide some historical artefacts and details but all a bit stomach churning - definitely not a place to bring children. Very overpriced and not really worth the visit.

“Don't waste your money”
Reviewed 24 May 2013

The "museum" is divided into 2 parts. There a few reproductions of torture instruments displayed with a breif explanation next to each one. Somewhat interesting but definately not worth the inflated entrance fee. A tourist trap, to be avoided.

“A little overdone”
Reviewed 12 May 2013

Too much like some of the places in tourist traps. Not really worth the time, with so many more interesting things to see in the castle.

“Too expensive...”
Reviewed 7 January 2013

Like travelling back to the Midle Ages, but some parts of this museum isn´t for young children. The experience is OK, even though it´s not bringing value for the money spend for a family of 5!
