“Ticked every box for us.”

This apartment is ideally situated for both the medieval and modern cities. The views from the living area and the double bedroom up to La Citie are superb. The apartment was clean and served our every need for relaxing, eating and sleeping. Two very welcoming boulangeries are only metres away at the end of the street which made breakfasts very easy. Lots of local restaurants are all within easy walking distance. Our hosts Mick and Inga were very welcoming. We received a very nice surprise on our arrival at Carcassonne airport when Mick met us and drove us straight to the apartment. Mick was also very helpful when we had to readjust our travel arrangements due to the cancellation of our flights home because of French airport strike action. I would have no hesitation in booking this apartment again.

Stayed in Apartment for a week in September - fantastic location, right next to the walls of the Citadel - great views too, from the sitting room and main bedroom.
Everything you needed was catered for - washing machine, iron, shopping bags!
15 min. walk into the main town and a 5-min. bus ride to Leclerc, for your every-day shopping needs - great fish counter there!
Bakery and numerous restaurants, only a few steps away from front door.
Had a great time and owner Mick was on-hand for help.
Recommended, unconditionally.

“Excellent location and service from the owners”

The apartment has stunning views of the castle. It was like living on a film set from the lounge and bedroom window. The location couldn't be better: a cute old street with friendly neighbours, a short uphill walk to the castle, restaurants, the town, Canal du Midi and the station. There was copious hot water, comfortable beds and a lovely small outside patio with table and chairs. The owners collected us from the airport and took us back which was a real treat . The local restaurants were all good although I would recommend you Use those off the main square if you are eating in the castle area. Try la Table de Alais in the Cite or les Mets-Tisses towards town. If you want to hire a bicycle from the very helpful man in front of the station, remember to take passport or driving licence with you. We didn't so no bicycle I am afraid. Take the train to pretty Narbonne (fun market most days) or Quillan and Limou which only costs €1: if the trains are running! There were works on the line so sometimes there was a bus but all part of the French fun!

“Finns in France, again!”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Ok readers, the Finns are back. This has been our third visit to Carcassonne and appartment Cezanne. To all of you who have not decided between Carcassonne and any other place on earth, please choose Carcassonne; it's an fantastic place, not only the "La Cite" itself, but also the surrounding countryside. This year we visited among other places the castle of Montsegur and the willage of Rennes le Chateau, check them out on internet and you will find a couple of interesting places. The appartment was as advertised; perfect for our needs. Kitchen supplied with everything you can ask for, fantastic beds, and a view to kill for. Opening the windowshutters you will see the ramparts of "La Cite" and feel how you are moved back almost 2000 years. The owners live close by and their service is great. We are returning to Carcassonne next year and we have already booked this appartment for our stay in august/september 2015. I do not know what you call it in english but we give this appartment a great 10 +.

“Amazing Location, Spectacular Views, Very Spacious Apartment with Everything you Need and the Owners are Very Helpful”
Reviewed 4 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Greeted at Carcasonne Airport by the owner, Inga who was extremely personable. Inga drove as to apartment via a supermarket on route explaining the history of Carcassonne, pointing out interesting places and how to get about.

The apartment had the most 'Spectacular Views' from both the lounge and main bedroom. The lounge and kitchen is open planned and very spacious. A dining area with a large table easily fitting six people at the front of the apartment leading out on to a small veranda. The apartment definitely well equipped as has everything you could possible want.

The location is perfect you can walk to the castle's walls within 5 minutes, there are shops located nearby for your necessities as well as some great restaurants. You really can not go wrong with this rental.

“Perfectly situated and well equipped”
Reviewed 13 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Excellent customer service from the owner, who speaks both French and English. The property is very well appointed and contains very comfortable beds for four and an equally-as-comfortable sofa bed for another two guests. The communal spaces are perfect for bringing your group together - there's a large well-appointed kitchen and the dining room and living room are great for socialising as a group. The property is perfectly situated just below the medieval city to allow for full exploration of the UNESCO world heritage site (and giving you a breathtaking view out the living and master bedroom windows), but also not too far (30 minute round trip by foot) from the supermarkets in the centre of modern Carcassonne, allowing guests to pick up fresh produce each day to prepare for dinner.

The property was great for us (a group of five students from Paris on Spring Break) to chill out in a lazy town and explore what Carcassonne has to offer. The city itself is also a great place to base yourself if you want to explore the south of France - we rented a car and drove around exploring the amazing Cathar castles perched atop impossibly beautiful mountains. You can also rent bicycles in town and cycle along the Canal du Midi - we brought a picnic with us and had a lazy lunch by the canal. There's so much to do in the region for people of all ages.

I would say the property itself would suit both groups of young adults and families alike. It's a perfect combination of an interesting and multi-faceted location as well as property that's perfectly suited to groups that made our stay here one of the most memorable holidays I've had.

“excellent apartment in a wonderful location”
Reviewed 6 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We stayed at this apartment in late October and had a fantastic stay. It has plenty of room for 4 (or more if you use the sofa beds) the owner is English and was very helpful and hospitable. The location is very near the medieval Cite, 5 minutes walk from the less busy side (Aude gate). The view from the apartment windows of the Cite walls is stunning. Its very close to some small shops for essentials and a huge choice of reasonably priced restaurants within the Cite walls if you want to eat out.
