A really good B&B that had loads of character with the themed rooms. The showers were awesome and the rooms large. The owners were really friendly and helpful and even took us to the airport the next day. The area is quiet and only a short distance from the main castle and town centre.

Michel and Marlene are very friendly and welcome you into their characterful home with great warmth. The house is in a quiet street a short distance from the rail station and our night there was peaceful and comfortable. It's good to be away from the tourist crowds and is an easy 20 min walk to the old city.

Second time in this friendly and unusual "gite/table d'hote". It has two themed rooms, one African and one Sri Lankan, very creatively and artistically decorated. Great showers, firm mattresses, quiet night and good breakfast. Everything you need and within walking distance from the centre of Carcassonne, the train station, and the amazing Cite which is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Worth a visit. Owners were not there this time but the last time we were given a free lift to the airport. Michel and Marlene are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. Mathilde, the young family friend who looked after us in their absence, was efficient, polite and friendly.

Room Tip: Personally I preferred the African room (blue and brown) where we slept 2 years ago. The colours wer...

We also Stayed in the African room on first floor, different from modern hotels and probably most B&Bs.
Manager could not be more friendly or helpfull, breakfast a delight. Possibly only negative comment is that next door is a working car repair garage which was a tad noisey during one afternoon. Also the narrow road is a one way system that motorbikes can sound worse than normal if that bothers you.
Handy for train terminal and walk along Canal du Midi but that was a low point.Medieval town is a must. Tai restraunt and the best place for a meal we have ever had are very close.
Almost stepping into another time zone or location?.Great

Room Tip: Room away from the front may be quieter. If you are coming from the airport on the shuttle bus then...

This was our 8th stop acros France as we started Cycling from a Bordeaux to Narbonne and then onto Montpelier to fly home total of 403 miles and had planned our stops in advance.

Host's friendly enough, we had the room with the African theme. it was ok but needed redoing, the bed didn't feel crisp and clean either The bathroom was very big but was quite shabby and needed some repair it appeared to have some damp.
The towels were hard and smelt a bit strange, however after they had been used they had an awful smell , they smelt stale and I wished I could have given them a boil wash and in my opinion that's what they needed !! Unfortunatetly we had booked a two night stay and we didn't really want to stay but as we had prebooked and it would have been a hassle to start looking for somewhere else and we had the bike to consider for storage we stuck it out. Breakfast was average We had some amazing breakfast across france on our trip which you wouldn't have expexced . I would personally not recommend this place

The maison is fine and clean. The owner is very warm , I arrived late and alone and her welcome was very friendly, she helped me with every thing , I don´t speak french and she doesn´t speak spaniah, but we can comunicate in english . I even gave her a silver mexican necklace as a souvenier. !And Carcassonne was a fairy tale experience ! i would love to come back.
