What a lovely lunch! The walled parking lots belies the cool mod interior and the perfectly poised patio. On a perfectly pretty day, we dined outdoors on the patio under those DWR-type of ingenious tarp umbrellas at the garden's edge. Just on the other side of the hedge, the busy world hummed but we were a world apart! That was my recollection.
From my notes:
Beautiful restaurant, modern and sleek, meal on the terrace on a perfect summers day. Looking over a lawn edged with flowering bushes that keep the rest of the world away.
We'd made arrangements for vegetarians. Their special amuse bouche was raw fishes. (not vegetarian) And a tiny merengue round with a very sweet carrot purée.
It was lovely.
Impeccable service, delicious flavors,
Old fashioned in sense that the man was given the menu with the prices, a rather sexist and stupid custom. Ladies can't bother their heads about prices, let's protect them from their own money.
We all laughed. Lunch was delicious, staff was attentive and all was lovely. (again, it is unusual for me to not have many other photos... suffice it to say that the food turned my head.)
