“Impressive stay”
Reviewed 5 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The outside appearance of this place may thrown you off, as there is no big sign or a nice entrance lobby or anything like that. But we really enjoyed staying here. We had our bedroom in the top floor, and also had our own living room and kitchen. Amenities include Free wifi, tv, fridge etc. Very well kept.
It's about 20 mins walk from the castle.
The hostess is a wonderful french lady offering exemplary hospitality. Although she doesn't speak English, she carries an ipad with her that uses the language translator and was able to give us a lot of tips and recommendations. The breakfast was very good. She had made eggs to order, along with all other french pastry goodies, yogurt and beverages.
My wife and I really loved this place.

“Quaint accomodation close to Medieval City Carcassonne”
Reviewed 26 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The accommodation which is decorated in old french cottage style, was as described and for most part had all we needed. It has been renovated and subsequently lost a lot of light so quite dark on the dull days and no outside facilities. We were greeted by our hosts who do not speak a lot of English. Some more bedding was found for second room (not made up) as we had my daughter visiting us. Full kitchen facilities but again light on some items. We have found that we need to cook especially around the weekends as most restaurants close Sundays and Mondays...Carcassonne no exception...
Do mind your head in this accomodation as the beams upstairs are low..did have 2nd toilet which was useful for the men. Parking was on the street mainly outside though some days we had to park about 3-400 meters away. Summertime would be a problem I am guessing. There were air cons/heaters in both bedrooms and a heater downstairs. There was a washing machine of an older different variety which i didn't know how to use. Linen was good but French do love hard matresses...Pillows too small/soft

The accomodation was very close to old town and older medieval tpown and walkable though because of the weather - lots of rain, we did use the car to city sometimes. Train station walkable too 700 meters.Trains to Toulouse and Narbonne

All in all good accomodation but on pricey side

We spent 3 nights Bed and Breakfast and can highly recommend to any who wish to see the city from a central base. Excellent accommodation in a superior apartment . Lots of space if you are travelling as a couple. Lots of interesting features around. Everything that you might need was provided.
Breakfast excellent. A pool if you are brave and a lovely balcony to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Sincere thanks for a very warm welcome.

Liked best: The location and the space in the city centre. Very helpful owners.
Liked least: Can't think of anything apart from the suggestion that breakfast could be an optional (paid) extra!

“Superb accommodation in good location”
Reviewed 3 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Excellent facilities and whole accommodation was extremely well presented. Full of character with quality fixtures and equipment - everything you could possibly want. Breakfast is provided by the owner in her own kitchen and was very good indeed. We would definitely stay there again and cannot praise it enough. The owner gave us a really warm welcome and was very helpful. We took the train from Carcassone Station, which is close by, to Toulouse one day (approx £20 return each) and had a very good day out there.

“Great stop over for a night wish we could have stayed longer.”
Reviewed 14 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

From the outside appearance you wonder what you are letting yourself in for, but this is typical of many of the old warehouses along the Canal that have been converted to great homes behind the exterior walls.
Martine is an extremely friendly and hospitable hostess giving us some great tips about Carcassone.
The guest room is situated on two floors, is fully serviced with everything from dishwasher to TV to full kitchen. It's very comfortable and convenient to stay at least a week to explore the area fully. Sadly we were on route to another destination the next day.
If we are back in the area I would definitely stay again.
