Had a meal for two here on Sunday 8th September after reading good reviews. Cost for six tapas dishes, bottle of wine and a coffee was 64 Euro, so not a cheap meal but reasonable. The staff did not speak much English so it was hard to understand all the dishes on offer, although dishes of the day are on display, and they are a significant number of others to choose from. Atmosphere was friendly and the tapas we had were good but not the absolute best I have ever had, but in defence we may not have chosen well, so don't be put off and give it a try!!

I'm surprised of the good reviews about this tapas bar. It was no more than average to us, and some of "today's special" weren't even available when we got there as it opended for the evening.

Drinks weren't particularly cheap, so I don't see the fuss other people are making. No offence but I had much nicer level of food in a randome London tapas bar with more exciting mix of ingredients and veriation of menu.

Visually they were not exciting and tasted just okay. But the the prices didn't seem to reflect to what we tasted which is more like canteen level of food.

Serive to us was definitely friendly and cheerful, but the French couple next us walked away as they waited 20 mins or more and not even a single order was delivered.

Nothing tasted that fresh to be honest. If it was 'much' cheaper, I'd given a rating of 4.

We ate inside (they also have a few tables outside on the street as well as a terrace) and that turned out to be a lucky thing! The food is nicely displayed at the bar and it was great fun first looking through the options and then asking the waitress what was what and getting her recommendations!

The gnocchi with sardines and nuts was great; the stuffed pork cheek also very nice.

Well worth a visit!

Seemed very popular, so arrive early, or check if they take reservations!

Popped in here for a more casual dinner one evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

It is crammed down a back street and wedged behind one of the more poular tourist tyoe restaurants but La Cuisine Comptoir offers great food at a reasonable price with really good, friendly service and a fantastic atmosphere.

We shared several tapas dishes including squid (cooked in its own ink? (looked revolting, tasted fantastic!), snails, anchovies on toast with a sweet onion relish and some other bits... We also got a bottle of gorgeous "Gris Gris" rose wine (a good locally produced alternative for those who prefer their rose a little drier) - all in including tip came to about 50 Euros (the wine was 20!).

This was one of the best meals we ate in Collioure and the staff were really pleasant and tried with their Engilsh.

I would have liked to have eaten here many more times but unfortunately we did not get the chance.

We really enjoyed our dinner in this tiny tapas bar. The food was delicious and the service cheerful, though it's not quick as just two people cook and serve everything. Everyone was hugger-mugger, sharing tables and being friendly. We had aperitifs, wine, digestifs as well as tapas and dessert for €85 for 2 - pretty good value in Collioure. A very characterful and tasty meal.
