“Vermillion Skies, Fresh, Fresh Fish, Local Wines, Sun and Sea.”

As promised Ciel Bleu was a fairly spacious, family sized modern property. The owner had prepared a very informative info pack of the town and surrounding countryside together with the location of many facilities, advising on those they had found to be the best.
The property itself is well maintained with fully outfitted kitchen and bathrooms, Sat TV, internet access, Very comfortable beds, and sofas with furniture on the patio and excellent BBQ facilities at the rear. The air conditioning was easy to use and efficient, though used only occasionally. I'd give it full marks for being exactly what it set out to be, a well above average, neat, tidy, well presented and welcoming holiday home. We will be going back.

As for Collioure and the surrounding area's, it cannot be beaten. Sure you don't have the sandy beaches of Argeles sur Mare, but you don't have to beat your way through a battalion of bathers to get to the water either. From Cerebre to Collioure you can explore exquisite countryside, hidden coves, small family run restaurants. Best seen from the back of scooters, or better yet, small trail motorcycles which can be hired locally. The scuba diving should not be missed, with the local firm giving a fairly inexpensive intro for beginners. Finally, for those with the time, it is EASY!!! to get into Spain using the local train service. Quick trip to Port Bou, day out to Gerona or week end in Barcelona, all easy to get to and inexpensive travel costs. Collioure to Barcelona for 3 people cost us around 40 Euro (one way).

Whats not to enjoy. Thanks to everyone who came on the trip. For information, we flew into Gerona, travelled by train to Collioure, hired transport when needed, then by train to Barcelona for a week end then by taxi to the airport in Gerona, the whole trip stress free, relaxed and enjoyable.

“Collioure is a gorgeous place and Ciel Bleu is a good base”

Ciel Bleu is a house with wonderful views overlooking Collioure town and bay. It's a modern house which has been very nicely furnished, and has everything you need. The terraces in the front and rear and the garden on the side get the sun at different times, so you can always find sun or shade. The shared pool is a short walk from the house and is a good facillty but we didnt use it as much as we thought.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the centre of town, but about 20 minutes to walk back due to the hill.
The owner was very good about sending lots of helpful information about Collioure and things to do around and about. I would certainly recommend the house and the town.

“Good location, hilly”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

You need your hillwalking legs but that's part of the quietness of the location and the great views overlooking the beautiful town of collioure. Apartment modern with all mod cons. Good air con, a must in the 30s!
Local residents can be a bit antsy about the communal pool, and not from a safety perspective alone..beware if you have noisy fun loving free spirited kids. Pool is too deep for children who don't swim so flotation devices and adult supervision a must. Use the beach and sea instead That aside, very happy. Recommend.

“A great place to stay in Collioure”
Reviewed 8 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

Our family of 4, including 2 children at uni had a great 2 weeks at the house, which is 10 min walk from centre of Collioure. Comfortable, spacious modern house with nice balconies at front and small garden at back, and house is well equipped. Ray, the owner, was very helpful and easy to deal with. Collioure is beautiful and lovely to wander around and generally warm, although weather was a bit mixed with some cloudy days, so barely used the shared pool which is 100m away (water a bit chilly at this time of year though). We were able to drive inland on good roads to Ceret as well as Carcassonne and over the border to the Dali museum at Figueres, which are all worth a visit.
Overall we had a great time would definitely recommend.

“Excellent villa in Collioure”
Reviewed 29 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We stayed here for a week in August with our three kids aged 9-13. It's a perfect villa for staying in Collioure; very well set up with good facilities and in a great location. 10 minutes walk to the town and beach, with stunning views over the harbour. Collioure is very hilly so be prepared for the walk back up the hill though. It's also 2 mins walk from the best winery for Collioure/Banyuls which is handy! The terraces at the front and back mean you always have the sun.
The owner provided really useful information before we went and did everything to make sure we had an enjoyable stay.
