The apartment I stayed in with my family was a lovely two bedroom with plenty of space to stretch out and relax! It was located in town which is only a few steps from the beach and perfect for being able to see the shops and food Collioure has to offer. I would definitely stay here for the next vacation!

Great apartment, great experience: location, space and amenities were fantastic! As if this weren't enough, Eddie took great care to make sure our stay went beyond our expectations, including us in local activities and introducing us to friends and acquaintances and providing us with travel tips (including the 1-euro train) to make the most of our stay. We really felt like part of the Collioure community! We haven't experienced this level of customer service, ever! Our stay in Collioure was the highlight of our summer travels.

“Great Location in lovely unspoilt village”

We very much enjoyed our two week stay in Collioure. The Apartment located in the old part of the village was very comfortable and met all our requirements, with our basic needs being readily available within easy walking distance. We thank Eddie Martin for his warm welcome and his readiness to help in any way possible. As we had a car he very kindly obtained a Visitor Parking Permit for us, and this was invaluable as parking in Collioure is at a premium. Eddie has a wealth of local knowledge which was useful in helping us plan our stay and is always willing to provide practical help should this be required. He really cares about the welfare of the people who stay in the apartment.

There is much to do in and around Collioure and walking in the surrounding hills provides superb views of the village, particularly from the windmill and Fort St. Elme further up the hill. Various day trips further afield can be booked through the Tourist Office. We went to Barcelona by coach but as the whole of the commentary on the way there and back was in French we recommend checking with the Tourist Office if it is likely to be a problem.

We enjoyed meals at many of the restaurants, but particularly liked “La Marinade” situated in the square behind the Tourist Office. Their vegetables served with Catalan sauce are delicious!

We have many happy memories of our stay and hope to return.

Brian and Anne

“Excellent apartment close to beach and harbour”
Reviewed 26 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This homely apartment is clean, comfortable, very well equipped, and in an excellent location only a few minutes walk from the delightful Collioure harbour and beach. Situated on a picturesque, pedestrian street, it is central for shops and cafes, but also very quiet. The owner, Eddie, is very welcoming, and is on hand for advice for things to do, local walks and recommendations for places to eat. There is so much to enjoy in the area and we were sad to leave.

Have just returned from a most enjoyable week staying at 10 Rue Mailly. Our host, Eddie, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, always going the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The apartment is a gem, a few steps from the beach, amenities and restaurants and cafes. The Royal Castle was definitely worth a visit at only €2 per adult. The walk up to Fort Elme is steep but good fun for most abilities. Good fun for the kids as they were given swords and shields to re-enact a few battles as they clambered over the medieval walls. Again good value at €6 for adults. Had a few good meals out but also the local markets led to many picnics. Being self catered, the apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed, it is warm, clean and perfectly positioned. Thank you Eddie.

What a delight it was to have you all as guests for a week, and how wonderful to see how the kids made the best of everything despite the less than perfect weather! It was a great pleasure to meet and get to know you all ...I do hope that our paths will cross again and thank you for being such wonderful guests. Eddie

“This is place to stay in Collioure.”
Reviewed 26 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This compact 2-bedroom apartment could not be more central - you walk downstairs straight onto a cobbled street with restaurants and shops on it. The beach is about 2 minutes' walk away - with perfectly clear, calm and very salty water, it's a must to swim there each day if it's warm enough. Take some crocs or something to wear on your feet though - the steep pebbly beach makes getting in and out of the water a challenge. The apartment gets a bit of noise from the street, but we never found this to be a problem as the bedrooms are at the back. With narrow streets and tall buildings, the apartment was fairly dark, but this worked for us too, as it kept the place cool, especially with windows open to get a breeze. The apartment is equipped with everything you could possibly want - a real homely feeling. The best part of our whole trip to Collioure was the owner, Eddie. We'll never forget his hospitality, kindness, and enthusiasm to go the extra mile for us. He gave us loads of good advice about things to see and do and places to eat, and he helped us organise details of our trip - I can't say enough about him. He and Aine made our week-long stay one that we'll never forget. I'm definitely going to recommend Collioure and Eddie's place to all my friends.
