“Parking problems etc.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014

Overnight stay in very crowded Collioure. Despite hotel advertising their own parking, none to be had not even if you paid. Public parking in the town crazy so not a good start to our stay as over €10 at le Gare. Also a long way to drag your bags.
Hotel cost €159 for smallish room with nice if plain terrasse. Only one bed-side table and no shampoo or conditioner. Air con effective and peaceful location, with no view.
Even in July, is this value for money? We don't think so. Breakfast not included.

Room Tip: Rooms mostly quiet, no sea views.

This was a very comfortable hotel, with one of the best beds I have slept on. This is rated a two star, but as a two star is at the top of its class. The staff was excellent, polite and helpful, the location is superb, just minutes from the beautiful waterfront so beloved by French painters, with free parking reserved for hotel guests. We enjoyed our stay immensely, both in the town and in the hotel.

Centrally located hotel (but no noise), with nice rooms and very helpful and kind staff who let us use their kitchen fridge for our breakfast / lunch foods.
Would recommend it to anyone for a short stay in Collioure, which is a fantastic little harbour town for some rest and relaxation.

You will have read the other reviews, and yes, the rooms are on the small side, but they are equipped with everything you need, parking for us wasn't a problem, because we went in the low season and in my opinion the best time to go to Collioure; the weather was stunning, everything was still open, but the streets weren't packed with tourists. We took our breakfast, lunch and dinner by the sea and enjoyed every meal. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Go and visit this beautiful part of France there is something for everyone.

Room Tip: we took a garden room, I think if I were to go again I would book a garden room, but one on the uppe...

This hotel is centrally located in the beautiful, picturesque town of Collioure on the southern coast of France. Room is average size by European standards but was clean and comfortable. Breakfast has more to offer than a standard continental breakfast and is ample to start off the day before hiking or sightseeing or whatever is on your agenda. The only criticism I have is that our room was on the top floor (European 2nd floor) and there is no elevator. However, upon leaving for our next destination, I asked the Attendant at the front desk if I could get some help with our bags. She responded without hesitation with a yes and proceeded to come up and she took our bags down.We were quite surprised since we knew that there was an able-bodied male working for the hotel. The Front Desk personnel were all friendly and greeted us in the morning and whenever we came back to the hotel from our hikes.

Room Tip: Ask for the cottage rooms behind the main hotel building. These rooms have a private patio or balcon...

Room was small, but quite nice and very clean. Location was excellent and walking distance to all of the attractions, shops, restaurants and the train station. Would recommend for an overnight stay. Did not take the breakfast, but there are multiple options for a quick breakfast right outside the door.

This hotel is absolutley lovely, with very friendly staff. But you do need to think ahead if you are bringing a car during the busy season. My husband stayed in the car in the busy car park outside and kept moving around to satifsy the traffic warden. I checked into the hotel. We then drove to the car park at the top of the hill where it is 2 euros for 8 hours. It charges from 8am - 8pm. It did mean one of us getting up early to fill the metre - and again later in the day but it is worth it to stay in this lovely hotel and town. Yes there are spaces outside the hotel but we were not lucky enough to get one. If you havn't discovered Collioure yet you are in for a treat!
