came across this hotel after staying at previous sister hotel LES MOUETTES. ideally situated for Collioure centre as in the height of summer parking in the village day or night is difficult. Staff excellent and rooms and facilities very good. Breakfast more then adequate. Highly recommend.

Situated in a quiet road just above Collioure, it is a five minute stroll to the town centre. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but this is not a problem as Collioure has sufficient to cater for all tastes.
The hotel is small but, but has a swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym. It is nicely furnished in a contemporary style. The rooms are not large but adequate for a short stay, the bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom well fitted out and everything was very clean. We paid extra for a room with a terrace, which was worth the extra, the terrace was quite large and fairly private.
Breakfast was a simple buffet, but everything was fresh and tasty.
We were given a warm welcome at reception.
The hotel has parking, for which there is a charge, it is not unreasonable as parking in Collioure can be hard to find. The town itself is very pretty and well worth a visit.

We had a great stay. Staff were all extremely welcoming, friendly and ready to help. Rooms were clean and serviced very well and of a good size. Fabulous breakfast: wide variety of choice and excellent quality produce. The pool was a good size and we were always able to find room at the sun deck. We had a car for three days during our stay and the parking reservation worked extremely well with a space always available. Although a little walk out of town, we were pleased with this as it was quiet at all times.

Madeloc is located convenienty close to the station and a short, albeit steep, walk into the village. We enjoyed good service and a brilliant breakfast that offered a variety of choice - the best breakfast we have had in any hotel in France. Rooms were spacious and clean. We used the pool and sun deck and they were great!
The only negative was the lack of elevator. The stairs to our 3rd floor room ascended in an alarmingly steep way - be prepared! The manager kindly carried my suitcase up for me, but my husband made the double trip down with our luggage at the end of our stay. We were really pleased to receive, on our departure, a travel pack - bottled water, biscuits and chocolate.. a nice touch.
Would recommend this hotel to families and fit travellers.

Lovely hotel, we stayed in a family room - lots of space with 2 double bedrooms adjoined (room 23). Staff were brilliant and very friendly, spoke perfect English in my attempts to speak poor French to them! Parking outside was a bonus as Colliure very busy in July. Breakfast set us up for the day with a help yourself buffet (1/2 price for kids). Even gave an onward journey pack of bottled water, sweets and biscuits. Thoroughly recommended and will definitely return.

I, my wife, two small shildren (3 and 1) and my parents in law stayed here for three nights early in Aug 2013 in the adjoining rooms 14 and 15 on the second floor. We were warmly welcomed from the moment of arrival being directed to our own parking spaces (essential in Collioure in the summer). We were shown to our rooms and had help offered with our luggage (note that this hotel has no lift, but the staff are more than happy to help you). Little things like the sweets for the kids in the room (and the biscuits and chocolates on departure) made all the difference and make you instantly feel like you're staying in more than a 3* hotel.

The hotel is really well positioned, 10 minutes walk from the centre of town and all the bars, restaurants and the beach.

One of our rooms was a triple (with adequate room for a travel cot as well) and the other a double. Both had a generous terrace, with a table, parasol and chairs and the advantage of being able to lock a secondary door so we could leave the passage between the two rooms unlocked after we put our kids to bed whilst we enjoyed some time on the terrace of the other room. The terrace of room 15 was lovely, nicely lit with a wooden deck. The terrace of room 14 was better for kids (fully closed in and facing the mountains), but had no light (a shame when sitting out at night), and the deck chair fabric was damaged and had seen better days, but these are minor issues.

The beds were very comfy but I personally found the double bed in room 14 a little short (perhaps because in the triple room space was at a premium) but we slept well, also due to the very welcome air conditionning.

The hotel appeared to have been recently renovated to a very nice standard with modern rooms and decor, surrounded by nice terraced gardens, whilst retaining the mediterranean charm of the town itself. Note that there is no bar, but you can order some drinks to be picked up from reception or bring your own for consumption in your room. Free WiFi was available throught the hotel.

The Breakfast was of good quality, with a great variety of pastries, fruit, bread, conserves, cheese, cold meats etc. served buffet style and you could eat as much as you want. Our breakfast was included in the room rate (no option in high season), so at 10€ per adult, it could get a little expensive if you are staying there for a long time. In low season however, you can choose to have the breakfast or not and the rooms are cheaper accordingly.

The pool deck was lovely, peaceful and had beautiful views. The pool was nice, a good temperature and clean. There is also a gym area which looked basic but of good quality. I didn't use it personally, but if you were there for longer it might be a good way of working off all the beautiful local food.

Pricewise, it was expensive, but this is a beautiful mediterranean seaside town in peak season, and the service and staff were wonderful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor at the front have a beautiful mountain view and nice terraces. Rooms 14 an...
