good location, tram station near the hotel, you can walk to the interesting places (i.e. place de la comedie) within a few minutes. As the hotel windows are not soundproofed and the hotel is situated at two main roads the noise of the traffic is disturbing.

Good modern, comfortable, clean room with indoor car park (which FYI charges 10 euro per night). What you would expect from a Mercure anyway. Free wifi a plus.

Location is not the best for tourist - it's slightly out of the way from most of the attractions and you may want to take the tram instead of walking. I believe Mercure Montpellier Centre is better located in that regard.

For food, I would recommend going to the nearby L'orcale at 17 place du millenaire which was absolutely amazing.

Pros: Easy to find, almost at the end of the Citidines like area that runs down to the river.
Nice rooms.
OK breakfast.
Nice reception area where you can have a coffee and plan the days outing.
Quiet despite its location right on a busy road.
Very easy to get in and out of Montpellier to other towns if you are driving.
Very good secure parking.
Good restaurant inside.
Right next to the Olympic swimming pool.

Cons: Staff not terribly helpful (but that is always a risk and may change with the staff).
Very long walk from the railstation if you have luggage. (TAKE A CAB! €9)
Price reasonable (we used bookings.com)
Not right in the centre of the old town. (that may count as a pro for some).

Hotel is modern well decorated and in a great location. 5 mins walk from Place de Comidie so central but still quiet. Tram is just around the corner and is 2 stops from the airport bus. Breakfast has a good selection and the bar area is very pleasant.

There is nothing wrong with this hotel, it could just be a lot better. The WiFi was my biggest problem, it was free (good) but I could not connect on any of my devices (laptop, ipad, phone) until the router was rebooted and had to resort to sitting in reception to get connected.

The room was comfortable and noise free but the desk was filled with a TV so that you could not work at it! The bathroom was large but the shower lacked power and the bath tub did not drain properly. I also found the lack of a shower curtain disconcerting.

The staff were pretty good and held things together. I would go back as there was nothing awful just room for improvement.

Good modern hotel with everything one can expect from a Mercure. Room large and well furnished though i missed a chair. The isolation is perfect and the air conditioning worked very well. The bsthroom large, clean. Comfortable. Breakfast conventional. Restaurant fine. The menu is short but sufficient and well cooked. Staff efficient. Location central, but the so called Antigone complex is a bit empty after shopping.

It is my first time staying at the Mercure, which is part of Accor group, and I was pleasantly suprised by it. The hotel location is very good, it is near the Tram station and the airport shuttle bus stop. It also has very good size room.
