“A peaceful haven”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. So pleasant to walk through the gardens which are pretty and peaceful. There's no entry fee and often used by the locals at lunchtime. Definitely worth a visit.

“Peaceful escape”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

We loved spending a few hours strolling through the gardens, it was great to escape the hustle and noise of the city without having to travel too far. It was very pretty and peaceful. Free entry and not a soul around to disturb. Well worth a visit. The locals seem to use it as a calm place to sit and chat on their lunch breaks. Would definately return.

“Pleasant enough but a little ragged”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

A bit of a disappointment. Parts of it were being rebuilt and the rest seemed a little neglected. Bushes not trimmed for instance.

It's a pleasant enough afternoon stroll but not the best Jardin des Plantes I've been to.

“Tranquility!!!”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

The garden has been there since the time of Henry IV which is quite some time and even though it will never rival the more formal gardens of the great palaces this is a place of gentle beauty which is also a centre for botanical/medical research - prepare not to be blown away but rather have your spirit gently lifted

“Medicinal Medieval Gardens”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon here. The gardens are less formal than others but extensive. They close around 5:30 pm so plan accordingly.
