The location is quite central. 5 mins walk from train station and less than 10 mins to La Comedie Square. They do provide onsite parking but it cost $12.00 and you will need to reserve it in advance as there are limited slots. Reception staff is friendly and can speak good English. Room, although small, is well decorated, modern and clean and all amenities is provided. Good selection on TV channels and they do have English channels.
The only slight problem is that it is located near the tram lines. So you might hear the trams going through (not too loud though). We slept right through the night so it did not really bother us a lot (maybe we were really tired). But if you are not an early riser, then it might be a problem.

We chose this hotel after reading the good comments on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. Also we arrived by TGV and the hotel is very close to train station so easy to walk to, even with 2 large (wheeled) suitcases. Only 5 minutes walk to Place de la Comedie. The hotel is bright, modern and spotlessly clean - it smells "fresh" . The room was small but well laid out and had adequate wardrobe / storage and lots of plug points, near a mirror too ! No bath but fantastic walk in shower and separate toilet. We stayed in the Amsterdam room on 4th floor.
I must mention the reception staff, Alexandra and Frederiqua (apologies for the spelling) who were both lovely and helpful.

(I stayed in this hotel in May so my review is one month 'late')

I picked this hotel based on reviews on this site and wasn't disappointed. The room has everything you need but it is pretty small. There is no bathtub (as the trend seems to be for newer hotels) but a very large shower. Although the room was small, the space was well designed and there was even tea/coffee making facilities (a rarity for a 3 star hotel). I liked the high-tech tv screen with welcome message and wifi code on it (no more losing tiny pieces of paper!). The wifi internet worked well.

I was first served by Frederique, a lovely, friendly and helpful girl and one of the best hotel receptionists I've ever met.

It is well located and close (walking distance) to the station, I even managed on the construction around the station and cobblestone streets and tram tracks with my luggage. I don't think it's worth the price to get a taxi for such a short distance unless there are a lot of you or you have a lot of luggage. You go around to the right of the station, up the hill a bit, follow the tram track around and then walk down a tiny lane (which goes next to but lower than the tram tracks). It took me a while to figure out where I was at first but then it was easy.

The room was modern, bright, comfortable and very clean.

My window looked out onto the tramway but it was never noisy, the windows are very well insulated from outside noise, there are two of them with a large space between the two.

There is a nice large public balcony/terrace on the third floor for smokers or anyone to enjoy the sun or relax.

I only have one small negative thing to say about the hotel and that is that the fittings, furnishings, flooring, etc (apart from the shower area) looked very cheap to me so while it looks good now because it's relatively new, but I'm sure it will get worn/faded/aged quite quickly.

This hotel was very conveniently located to walk around Montpellier and see the sites. The room was TINY but spotlessly clean. We stayed their for four nights and noticed that our sheets were not changed during our stay. There was a note about the towels and the usual "saving the environment" bit which I wonder if hotels generally use to "save on their budgets" more than anything else! The towels are changed every two days.We stayed on the United Kingdom floor at the back but were not bothered by the sound of the trams at all. There are two Laundromats a 5 minute walk from the hotel which was very handy.

Dear PunePeacock,
we would like to thank you for your stay and your review on this website.
the sheets are changed every two days and towels every day if you put it down or in the shower.
but for your next stay if you have different requests, we will be completely at disposal.
since months, we are doing our best to be the more green as possible (not for economical reasons but because it's important to think about our environment-most of the time the cost is more expensive for eco-products..)
hoping welcoming you soon in Montpellier france
best regards

We stayed at the Eurociel for two nights - 2 couples, 2 rooms - and all of us were pretty happy with our choice. The rooms are surprisingly large by European standards - which means small-ish by North American norms....but were clean, well equipped (love the Nespresso machine!) and bathrooms were spotless.
The room we had - Frankfort on the German floor - was pretty quiet as well, although I can understand the comments about lots of rumble from the trains and trams. The area is not very dodgy (in my opinion) and a short walk from the main Centre.
The staff were very helpful and quick to handle a small problem with the AC in the other room.
This hotel is ideally located to explore the Old Quarter as well.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, you might ask for a room away from the train/tram tracks. We did not ex...

Good location short walk from the town centre, nice clean rooms bit small but well equipped, my room was on floor 'Greece' they all have different names / styles ,although my room was at the back I was not affected by the trains/tram noise rooms appear well sound proofed. Breakfast was ok nothing to shout about but the restaurant was bright and cheerful. Hotel has parking facilities but the location of the hotel makes your sat nav work for its money, but we eventually got there, would recommend to friends, however also had a problem with the room safe not opening luckily I tried it out first be Carful !!
