Campanile Montpellier Est - Le Millenaire

We've stayed several times at other Campanile hotels but this one is so much worse than the others: the temperature was 27 degrees Celsius and the air conditioning was not available (only "hot" as informed by the manager on duty, who brought us a table fan for the night!).
The room is similar to others Campanile but there was a smell in it and the towels were thin and grayish. Stay away from this place!

We booked 4 rooms at this hotel as we were 4 couples. All were happy of the stay. We got our rooms in the ground floor which made it easy for us for the luggage. The only matter was the air-condition not working well. Anyway, the weather outside was still good, so a little opening of the window was very comfortable. I think during the summer this would be difficult. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is passing by Montpellier

Room Tip: Rooms in ground floor are excellent for many luggage travelers

We stayed there for one night. Hotel is easy accessible from the main road. Free parking closed for night. Safe neighbourhood. Comfy bed. Quite big room for that price. clean room and bathroom. Flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi. Very kind and helpful staff. I can recommend it to anyone.

My brother and i were visiting Montpellier for the Montpellier v Ulster rugby game and stayed at this hotel for a second time. We had used it last year while on another rugby pilgrimage and found it to be excellent value.
Nothing had changed this time. Comfortable room with big double bed (we had one room each!!), good bathroom with bath/shower.
Highly recommended to all travelling rugby fans, tourists etc. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the tram stop where you can get to the centre, or many places in the city, for €1.40 per journey.

Room Tip: All standard rooms

I stayed here for a Friday & Saturday night in August and although comfortable for a few nights, I wouldn't want to stay here much longer. The room was clean and light but not particularly big. The lime green plastic coathangers and storage area was a bit tacky but I think all the rooms are the same in this chain of hotels. The room could have done with some pictures on the wall. The best word I can use is 'functional'. Being English, i'm a tea drinker and this hotel doesn't really pick up on this, there were coffee sachets but only one normal teabag, the others were mint tea. Very nice TV but no English channels.

On the plus side, the hotel is within 10 minute walk of a very regular tramline, there are also buses nearby into Montpellier. It's close to a very big out of town shopping centre (Odesseum) and amusement area with aquarium, planetarium, cinema, loads of restaurants etc. The bathroom was very nicely done out. Large round Grohe shower head.

My booking was only made the day before so all central hotels were fully booked out. I would suggest try to book well in advance and get a more central hotel. I payed €180 for 2 nights, this plus €1.40 for each tram trip made it an expensive 2 days.

To sum up -

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the large roundabout. Loads of traffic and sirens.

We stayed here on our drive down to southern Spain. This motel is a very convenient stop-off as it is only a minute from the motorway. It is clean and modern and the staff are very friendly. It is close to a big entertainment complex with an aquarium, cinema, lots of bars and restaurants, etc.

Hotel is located just off the A9 which is great for a Stopover. Hotel staff were excellent we were told everything we needed to know about the Hotel and the surrounding area + given a map. Parking lot a huge plus, also very secure as it gets locked. Rooms were clean and I love colour so the decor was awesome. Lovely size bathroom which was spotless. The had tea/coffee making facilities which we found very rare in France. Very close to the Odysseum Shopping centre which had loads of shops and eating places to chose from. One of our best stays in France.
