We were two families who dropped in for lunch at Les Bistronomes without any booking in October. We were greeted friendly and the waiters quickly arranged a table for eight in the exterior part of the restaurant. The athmosphere is excellent in the fascinating architechture in Place du Nombre d'Or, in the "middle" of the Antigone district. The waiters were both friendly and efficient in explaining the different lunchmenues, and the food was on the verge of excellent. Never the less it is not often you experience meet dishes to be overcoocked in France, but on this occasion one of the " todays specials" - a piece of beef - was very much closer to "well done" than the ordered "medium". We believe this was just a rare "accident" and the rest of the food was of very good quality, and the desserts were both delicious and deliciously arranged. We have also later returned for tea, coffe and softdrinks served in the "loungearea" on the outskirts of the exterior dining area, and we really enjoyed both the service and the relaxed ambience of the restaurant and the square.
