“best hotel ever by fat”
Reviewed 25 July 2013

It was really good. Me and my two best friends ever slept very comfortably in the room. It's a shame about the lack of pillows.

I really like the swimming pool.

Also the air conditioning was great - the effect of it really bought us closer.

Great value vending machines

And the location fantastic.

Room Tip: Ask for the bunk beds.

Stay away, although the location is central it's not worth your health. I was stuck as there was a football(soccer) game on and the whole city was booked up. The non smoking room stank of cigarette smoke and the mattress had burn marks in it. The price is ridiculous for what they offer. I stayed in a much better hotel next day in Beziers for 45E

Experience we had in this hotel is terrible, if you can call it a hotel, it's depends on what you understand of place called hotel means, if its a room with bed in it, that's how far it goes, and that's about it. Oh and other thing, late at night, it's a major problem to get in, coz guy who was at reception gave us a code for doors, which didn't work, when we tried to call number was on receipt, he picked up phone, said something and put a phone down, and after that his phoned seemed to be switched of. It's pure luck of getting in. This problem seemed to happen to everyone who was staying in here, judging from loud noises that were coming from outside, that seemed to be someone who is trying to get in a hotel.
Shower? Yes. Hot water? NO!

Checked into the Abasun hotel for 1 night last Friday (June 2012) with my partner.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a very basic/shabby reception area but thought little enough about this as the hotel was located very centrally in Montpellier.
We had 1 bag with us which we dragged up 2 steep flights of stairs and walked down a dark corridor with filthy carpet. Knowing at this stage not to expect much about the bedroom!! Nothing would prepare you for when you openend the bedroom door, a bed/mattress on the floor, a very dirty bathroom with a towel the size of a facecloth to wash yourself in a shower which the shower nozzle was lying on the floor.
Paint was peeling from all walls.
It is the worst hotel I have ever seen, let alone stay in.
The following morning we ran out of the hotel, absolutely livid that we had paid 65 euro to stay in the kip.
I wouldn't ever stay in an establishment like Abasun even if it was the only hotel in Montpellier.
A truly horrendous experience.

Room Tip: Just dont stay here!!!

I have visited many hotels paying 75€ per night for 10 days. (for a triple room)
But, i couldn't imagine that photos and rest information on booking sites, could be so far from reality.
In fact there is a room.. There is bath also.. but.. what a mess. I cant describe it. i mean it.
There is A/C but there is no control, so you have to open it and find the right button.
There is just a table, and a chair. NO place for clotes at all.. (i couldn't believe it).
Anyway... the only possitive is the situation.. .
what a Pity... (the Hotel could be great....)

Hotel is extremely old and ugly! Bathroom is underconstruction and there were water all over the place because sewer was flooded. They don't have big towels to dry, just face towels.
The bed was broken and when two people sleep together, the bed folds in half!
Also they don't have elevators and after paying very expensive, you have to take your own luggage upstairs!
The recepcionist doesn't speak english and they don't have space to hold your luggage!
I will never recomend this hotel for anybody and I will never come back.

I normally like to give good reviews but these guys really take the mick! Holes in the "walls" very thin plaster boards, (not real walls) between bedrooms, you can hear your neighbours breathe - holes around flimsy sockets; sockets and plugs lose on the walls - dirty towels (the cleners had forgotten to replace them but did fold them neatly on the bed anyway!) - dirty matress and dust under the bed...flimsy windows, dificult to close - very noisy

Wires hanging here and there...no chairs, no wardrobe or table...paint scaling off here and there...no light in the bathrooms...shower hose gushing water from all angles...i almost forgot about the smell of urine...i would have laughted it off if I didn't have to pay 48 euros for this joint...avoid please
