The hotel looks like it was a manege. The swimming pool looks like it was where the horses would walk around. It is clean but a bit cold.
The whole hotel looks like a old little french castle. It's not accessible without a car. And use a navigation-system to get there if your not from the region.
The rooms are simply equipped with cheap ikea bed, closets and lamps. There was a fan in the room but with one small window it tends to get a bit warm inside. The bathroom was tiled in a 70's style and it looked like the shower-head was also from that time. It was actually broken and not able to be hung.
The food was outstanding. Both the diner and the breakfast we had there were great. The owner was nice to us and served us for diner. But the older women that was in the restaurant in the morning wasn't really busy with what was happening in the restaurant. She was ironing in the back and looked like if you asked anything you could get a snare. It was a buffet so I guess she normally doesn't have to do much.
For us it was exactly what we where looking for as a stopover while riding down to spain.
If your looking for a bit more luxury there's a hotel next to this one that looks a bit newer: "le Pre Galoffre".

Although the gentleman who received us seemed surprised at our arrival, we were dealt with politely and our room was a real delight. Large, roomy, beamed ceilings and a juliet balcony overlooking the garden and pool. The bed was the best we had during our 10 day trip and the bathroom was great (even despite a slightly wobbly shower head).
The absence of a hairdryer was a bit disappointing. The aircon in the room was great and very quiet and the breakfast in the garden was lovely.
I'd definitely go here again if ever I'm near NImes again and would recommend it, it was so peaceful.

We had a really lovely couple of days here in September 12. I am suprised by the vehemently negative reviews this place has got so far. OK, it is not a hotel, it is a B&B and the decoration and the plumbing in the rooms definitely marks it out as family run rather than a proper hotel but my room was spotless and I thought good value for money! This area of France is very expensive and by compromising on basic accommodation in this B&B you get to enjoy a beautiful pool and terrace during the day. We thought the manager was really helpful (he even leant us his iphone charger bacuse we had forgotten ours!) and we loved the air of faded grandeur and international tennis paraphenalia... The restaurant was open when we stayed and the food was excellent, we also ate next door in the Pre Galoffre one night for a change and were impressed with this too. We arrived by taxi from the Train Station in Nimes (18 euros approx) so no issues with finding it and then used the bus (1 euro each way) outside the hotel to get in and out of town. One work of warning, we ordered a taxi to take us directly to the airport at the end of the holiday and it cost 40 euros! Make sure you save enough cash for this if you need it! Go with a relaxed attitude (and not in August - the air con does not seem to work!) and enjoy sitting by the pool in the sunshine!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 16 whhich had a new bathroom suite.

Firstly, Satnav will not find the hotel, when we arrived to check in we were greeted by someones mum possibly? Very nice though she was I didn't think this was the best front of house greeting.
The room was like a tardis, painted dark purple!!, clean but so dark with extremely poor lighting, the bathroom had no plug in the sink, the shower wasn't fixed to the wall so you had to hold it somehow and wash!! The toilet was rammed in the corner so your knees touch the wall, I'm 5' 1" so you can imagine how difficult this would be for say a grown man!!..no aircon just a fan you plug in, also extra charges are added eg: city tax, and breakfast is extra and very basic, hope you like croissants! The up side is that it's set in an old courtyard with a pool and tennis courts, nice vineyards all around but is more suited to a 25/30 euro price tag not 70!!!!

I was staying at the hotel, which is next to this one and went there only to have a drink. It was a scorching hot day. I requested a glass of juice with water. The guy served me the rest of the water that was left on the bottom of the bottle and then he filled it up with the tap water: in front of me in the most ostentatious way. He charged the same as if I was getting it In rue Rivoli in Paris only that in Paris I would get fresh Evian water. Terrible terrible attitude. I was so gob smacked that I didn't react. Now I wish that I had!!!

You can't say anything positive about this hotel...
Poorly sign posted (so you drive around for an hour trying to find it - even with a satnav),
Crap rooms - dirty, small, smelly, boiling hot, full of mosquitoes, no fan, leaking shower, rank and uncomfortable beds, filthy floors etc, oh, and odd curtains...
The pool - there's is one but it's full of filth and wasps nests near by in the plantation,
The owner's a miserable man who was more interested in fixing his lawn mower than greeting his paying guests. We think he spent more money on the garden than the rooms which were decorated in the 1970s, and haven't been touched up since!!
P.S. The breakfast's a rip off as well!

Don't stay here! It was the worst night of our holiday, the camping facilities were better! Honestly.

We were two boys at the age of 25 years. We stayed at this hotel for two nights when we travelled around with Tour de France. We didn't have much time on the hotel, but enough time to say that this was not a very good hotel. The room was small, one of three lights was working, the bathroom was old, dirty, dark and small. At the time it was extrmely hot in Nimes and the room didn't have aircondition so we had to have our window open. The next morning I had bug bites all over my body...

The hotel have many tennis courts and the pool seemed ok when we were there.

It is a bus station just outside the hotel with 3 departures every hour but the bus bus stop going at 20.00. The taxi cost us about 15 € from the centre of Nimes.

Mas de Galoffre is not a good hotel, but for our stay it's was ok because we got a really good price. But i would probably find an another hotel if i ever visit Nimes again.
