This is an interesting facility located outside of the center of Narbonne on the Canal du Midi. The setting is attractive enhanced by the rush of falling water, and the plane trees lining the canal. The room is large, and most appear to have large covered decks with views of the canal. Our room had a Jacuzzi, and a very modern shower with complicated controls that I had some difficulty manipulating. We had a large king size firm bed. The room was very quiet at night. There didn't appear to be many guests at the hotel which has as most "suites" a kitchen facility. On balance the perfect stopover for our trip from Spain to Nice.
We were asked if we wanted breakfast the next morning, and we decided to take it as we were not within walking distance of a cafe. The center of town is about 20 minutes away by foot. Breakfast proved to be a disappointment. The fruit was canned, the croissants industrialized (margarine verses butter), the ham and cheese packaged, etc. They charged us 15 euros per person. We were the only people in the breakfast room. I had the feeling that were were the only customers for the day, and the staff had taken a quick trip to Casino to cover us. We had a somewhat similar experience at dinner. Brasserie Flo a highly regarded restaurant maintains a lovely looking facility as part of the hotel in an attached old building. I ordered the salad gesier (not bad), and my wife and I both had the sole. At 27 euros a plate it was at best disappointing. The was one other person in the restaurant.
My advice: if you need a stopover in this part of France try the Ile Du Gua, but avoid the food.

We booked in to the Clarion Suites for 1 night's treat to celebrate a birthday. It is in a charming situation overlooking the Canal du Midi . We had a wonderful meal at the Moulin du Gua restaurant attached to the hotel.
Although it was very quiet and the weather was horrible we had a great rest. The rooms all overlook the pretty gardens and river and the jacussi in our room was fun!
We would have liked to stay longer.

Went to Narbonne on business. The hotel is off the canal in a quiet residential neighborhood but an easy walk along the canal path to city central. Modern hotel, large rooms, nice bathroom with separate toilet room. Very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was fresh, French style and I quite enjoyed it. The staff was outstanding. Every member was pleasant and went the extra distance to assist the guests. They are a pleasure! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

Friendly welcome by owners and we were shown rooms before deciding to book. We took suite 207, a large, well appointed suite containing a spa bath, separate bathroom and loo, well equipped kitchen and balcony on three sides of the suite overlooking a beautiful working lock/canal. Spotlessly clean, good toiletries and very comfortable. Whilst a little work is still going on, nothing spoilt the calm and peaceful surroundings. It appears to have a conference centre which was being used and the adjacent Brasserie Flo, offers modern city quality dining, attended by professional and attentive staff. We offer this hotel and its owners/staff every good wish in the future for a successful and thriving hotel. We will certainly return when in the area.

Room Tip: We were very happy with Suite 207 but I think all the rooms/suites will be very good.
