“Wonderful apartment with friendly surroundings”
Reviewed 1 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This apartment fit our needs perfectly and allowed our family of 5 to relax and enjoy the city of Narbonne. Such easy access to the city and the surrounding area. We truly enjoyed the two level apartment as it was clean and hospitable with multiple room options for eating, entertaining or just relaxing. Narbonne, the beaches and the apartment were the highlight of our two-week adventure in France.

“Living in Style”
Reviewed 16 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This apartment, on a main street just around the corner from old Narbonne offers a spectaular and spacious living-room, a good sized and well-equipped kitchen and a cosy breakfast or after-dinner upstairs terrace with a view towards the cathedral.
Parking for one car is free, safe and convenient in the garage across the road, and there are usually slots nearby (or you can pay to use the same garage) if you have a second car to worry about. There is a reasonable supermarket nearby that seemed to be open most of the time, and a good choice of small bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, as well as a patissier two doors down for the morning croissants.
There is an internal staircase to the top floor, and the apartment itself is up three fairly steep flights of stairs, or can be accessed by the world's smallest and slowest lift, which opens right out into the dining room.
The great assets of the apartment are the downstairs living space and kitchen, and the location close to the heart of Narbonne. We ate in every evening, as it was easy to get good produce from the nearby market and supermarket and all the cooking and serving equipment you could ever need was provided. Eating local market-bought food at the large dining-table and relaxing on the extensive sofa afterwards felt like living in style.
The rather dim and winding staircase from the front door up to the apartment might annoy some of the less energetic among us, and frankly the bedrooms and bathrooms are fine but not particularly stylish when compared to the downstairs living space - although the tub in the master bathroom is a nice touch. For this reason, some might consider the apartment a little over-priced.
But the family who joined us for the first two night of our stay were very keen to have the details of the apartment, and perhaps there is no better recommendation than the fact that people who stayed here would certainly come back again. Including us.

“Spacious airy apartment in good convenient location”
Reviewed 26 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A great apartment in a good position with a very large living/dining area decorated in a tribal theme. A private lift takes you from the ground floor opening directly into the apartment which is bright and airy and has everything you could need. It is walking distance to the train station and old Narbonne.

After searching for an apartment with lift access (due to one of us having mobility issues) we were surprised to find that the apartment was over two levels with a narrow spiral staircase from the living area to the 4 loft bedrooms. One of the bathrooms is upstairs with the bedrooms, the other bathroom is downstairs. The largest bedroom has a queen bed however it is on a frame which was directly at floor level, and although very comfortable it made it a little difficult to get in and out of. There is a terrace on the bedroom level with lovely views of the cathedral.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment, however we would have appreciated knowing that the apartment was over two levels with a spiral staircase. Jean-Pierre the concierge was helpful and an absolute delight.

“Comfort, Space and Style in Narbonne”

This rental was perfect for two couples but could have accommodated several other people without detracting from the comfort and and the feeling of airiness. It was attractively and comfortably furnished and fully equipped. The location was appropriate to our needs - an easy walk to the city centre; to the covered market which operates every day; and, to the week-end "tat" market. Convenient car parking made for easy access to the many surrounding places of interest.
Owners, Marie-Aline and Emile were friendly and efficient in their guidance and instructions and provided excellent advice when requested. Their concierge, Jean=Pierre, was a delight in his own right making both our arrival and exit totally stress-free.
