“Last day in Perpignan”
Reviewed 17 September 2012

Our last memories of Perpignan and a very good meal. Reading other reviews either we were very lucky or it was a good day, all I can say was the staff were friendly, and a girl waitress very attentive, helpful and efficient.
The food was superb, we all had a sea food "casserole" which was delicious, and the puddings were fab!
One young waiter did not understand our French and informed us he had "no idea what we were saying". We did understand his French! But as he was very helpful and did try hard to understand us, we can forgive him and his humour added to our experience.
Not a cheap meal, but delicious. Thank you

“A chain restaurant at it's finest, but still a chain”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

From the outside, I had very high hopes for this place, seeing as it is centrally located and in such an historic building, but sadly, I was somewhat disappointed.
First off, the service is not the best. The servers were "friendly" but only out of obligation. It was obvious that they weren't there because they wanted to be. This is quite a large restaurant, so there wasn't that intimate feeling one gets with their server. The menu is quite large, containing various steaks, fish and flammeküches (from Alsace/Germany, similar to a pizza), but nothing was overly impressive. This is a chain restaurant and it tastes like it. The food was rather bland and had a "packaged" quality to it.
I ordered the set-price menu (16.10€) with the ravioli and flammeküche. The raviolis were tiny and had a very industrial feel to them. The flammeküche was massive but, once again, industrial.
Overall, this restaurant is well located and has low to average prices, but I feel the quality of food and service explains why the prices are lower than elsewhere. I do not not recommend this place, but I won't recommend it either.

“Great food, great value”
Reviewed 31 August 2011

We were a bit sceptical as we were the first ones to sit down that evening, but the tables soon filled up and people started to queue. We opted for the 'menu de jour' at 18.50 euro. The food was fabulous and great value to say we all had steak. We had a carafe (or two) of wine to accompany our meal and can thoroughly recommend it.
